Trying to force yourself to balance out how you act around people is unnatural and other people can detect that. What is your solution for this?
@@powpowouchy5 Nobody said that you have to change how you act to be more attractive. In fact, if your goal is only to be more attractive, it'll backfire on you. The balance isn't hard to find. Be warm as a person, but have your own goals in life. If you're clingy, it just sends the message that your life revolves around your partner and you have nothing really going for you on your own. That's not attractive. And if you're cool and distant on purpose, you just come off as uninterested, also not attractive. All of this has nothing to do with forcing yourself to act a different way. If you sort your life/mental problems out yourself, all this will come naturally. Unfortunately, a lot of guys are too thirsty for their own good and don't end up putting enough effort into their own lives.

I used to try to be cool and distant to keep people away when I was in high school. But people would still bug the hell out of me. I never understood why people like cool and distant. Maybe because they can’t see your flaws if you’re private and disengaged. I took to eating outside on the Roof of my school to avoid being bugged by people. There was no one at my school I wanted to be friends with. Small school in a shitty ass town.

Well, to be honest - I dislike being approached by a wing man and it has never worked in the past. I am much more inclined by someone having the self confidence to approach me directly than indirectly. But that has to do with my overall idea of the characteristics of my ideal partner and is therefore highly subjective. I also enjoy being a little mean to my potential partner and I look for those who do the same in return, since I like being startled, surprised and I enjoy exploring the wittiness of the person I am interested in. This would sometimes contradict the mentioned aspect of overtly showing that you like the other person.

@@Psych2go No they are not. It could be a fine line between the two, but they are separate. At least that's what I think, and I think I should let people know that most of the things I say (regarding advice on this channel) is just what I think and believe.
Psych2Go I think being cold is more on the unkind side, right? Cold people can also tend to be more blunt causing people to assume they're mean. Mysterious can be more on the flirty side, I believe. Like if you ask them a question and they say "I don't know, you tell me (:" something like that, maybe.

@@giangboo not me (though you are right in some cases ) i was terrible when me n my GF first started dating, immature hyper and well... one of the worst kids in my school (was the trouble maker and "bad boy", but i was also very nerdy .. don't ask) i've become a better person and better me over time for example i am better at articulating my emotions now, expressing my love of poetry expressing my feelings and learnt the value of vulnerability i'm hardworking and being with her helped me motivate myself to work even harder she also let me get out of my confort zone as dating her is against my asain parents value and helped me develop mysef as i helped her me n her have only improved it's just how ya make the relationship work when we started dating i told her that "i'm gonna change a lot and so are you so we gotta love the new uses :D "
I told my crush I liked him, after that he started liking me back. If it isn't in the persons mind much, saying it puts it out there and they entertain the idea. I told one of my neighbors I like her (not that way), she said she likes me too and now it's closer to friendship. If people aren't sure what you're thinking, it can be useful to say it and they will like you more.

Be yourself! Research the companies information and read everything on thier website and know who the owner or GM is by name..And definitely dress up in your best,in crisp solid colors. If you find out later it is more casual fine, but you can never loose dressing your best! Remember you are interviewing them as much as they are you. Clingyness can develop a sort of codependency. I understand that everyone's journey will be different but I'm speaking from personal experience. This can also create space for manipulation and control to cultivate. Not saying that this would be the case, just want to potentially help someone be mindful that it could be a possibility. I personally believe that a healthy relationship doesn't require over attachment, rather healthy boundaries being established between both people

Therefore, I always think about attraction, but I'm not always stuck on it. However, as I found women to be politically correct, when you stop searching for love, women are attracted to you. So, unfortunately, you lose no matter what. But thanks to this guide, it helps me overcome this double standard. Call me crazy, but all of this happened because I lost meaning thanks to nihilism. This means that I see no meaning in any emotion- not even sadness nor anger. So this can help because you're significantly less subject to social pressure than before.
There are some very clear issues with some of these “studies”. Some very clear research methods based problem, I ask that ppl take this information with a pinch of salt. It is not quite as black and white as this and there’s plenty of research to suggest just the opposite of all of this and to suggest some entirely different things. What I’m saying is don’t take this as the be all and end all.

What a great video! I used to be super clingy growing up due to moving so much! Like, a ton! Like 9 different states by the time I was 13. I overcame that; now it is time to work on a new one. I wanna be more mysterious! I have a tendency to be too much of an open book.
My distancing complex leads to friend-zoning everyone. To be honest it’s much more comfortable that way as I’d rather have a friend than a future ex. Any feelings of attraction I may have at first are quickly diminished as I then start thinking “this person is too cool, they’d be an awesome friend” but I don’t mean to make the other person feel less self-worth because the way I see it is that friends are ultimately deeper than romance. Also, I’m terrible at reading signs of attraction. Oftentimes I have no clue about someone’s intent when talking to me (I just assume they’re being friendly). My anxiety tells me that people are joking around when the flirting signs are more obvious. The idea of me being with someone right now scares me. Ultimately I feel like I’m not cut out for being with anyone as I’m not hung up on any ex at all but I am hung up about the way things have gone in all of my past relationships. Whenever I’ve been with someone new I’ve tried to let go of negativity from previous relationships but when red flags started showing all of the anxiety came back around.

Tbh I once achieved just that, but then learned the hard way that the lie in fact stays just a lie and when something goes wrong, when something breaks in you, you may find out you never really changed, you simply became a very convincing liar (even to yourself). Maybe it works for some people, idk, but if you're a perfectionist with huge expectations of yourself and a tendency to compare yourself to others... don't do it. It may last for years, but probably not forever. My advice: screw it, just be yourself!

Clingyness can develop a sort of codependency. I understand that everyone's journey will be different but I'm speaking from personal experience. This can also create space for manipulation and control to cultivate. Not saying that this would be the case, just want to potentially help someone be mindful that it could be a possibility. I personally believe that a healthy relationship doesn't require over attachment, rather healthy boundaries being established between both people

As a woman, I steer clear from those 'nice guys'... if I'm calling a guy an asshole, he's honest and is nice and protective. 'Nice guys' are abusive, lazy, and excuses all bad behavior because of the nice things they do, as if it's okay to yell and manipulate. As a logician, I always made thought experiments.
When recent experiences come, I focus on the memories of those experiments.

My distancing complex leads to friend-zoning everyone. To be honest it’s much more comfortable that way as I’d rather have a friend than a future ex. Any feelings of attraction I may have at first are quickly diminished as I then start thinking “this person is too cool, they’d be an awesome friend” but I don’t mean to make the other person feel less self-worth because the way I see it is that friends are ultimately deeper than romance.
Also, I’m terrible at reading signs of attraction. Oftentimes I have no clue about someone’s intent when talking to me (I just assume they’re being friendly). My anxiety tells me that people are joking around when the flirting signs are more obvious. The idea of me being with someone right now scares me. Ultimately I feel like I’m not cut out for being with anyone as I’m not hung up on any ex at all but I am hung up about the way things have gone in all of my past relationships. Whenever I’ve been with someone new I’ve tried to let go of negativity from previous relationships but when red flags started showing all of the anxiety came back around.

Tbh I once achieved just that, but then learned the hard way that the lie in fact stays just a lie and when something goes wrong, when something breaks in you, you may find out you never really changed, you simply became a very convincing liar (even to yourself).
Maybe it works for some people, idk, but if you're a perfectionist with huge expectations of yourself and a tendency to compare yourself to others... don't do it. It may last for years, but probably not forever.
My advice: screw it, just be yourself!
