- This is Day 2 of our Kashmir tour. We started our journey from Breakfast at Krishna Dhaba located near Dal gate. In this video you will show all the behind the camera things we did on our second day of Kashmir tour.
This Video was shot on 18 April 2023, Below are the activities we did on this day.

After Breakfast we headed to Explore Doodhpathri Meadows which is 50 Kms from Srinagar.
After Exploring Doodhpathri Meadows we headed towards one more view point which is Shaliganga.
Prepaid sim does not work in Jammu and kashmir - If you are travelling to J&K then you should know that prepaid sim does not work there. If you want to go for a new sim there then you need a local reference, who will get OTP for verification. My team got a new sim, while i had a post paid sim.
After dinner at Ahdoos We traveled to our hotel by Auto, which is approx 2 kms from Ahdoos Restaurant.
Hotel- we got our accommodation booked at Hotel Heemal which is a JKTDC property.
Cab driver - Irfaan - 7780853061 - Innova charges per day Rs 4000 but we paid 4200 including tip amount.

We ended Our day in front of our Hotel by enjoying a night view of Dal lake.

The magnificent view of the Kashmir valley, sipping morning tea at the hotel, watching floating shikaras far at the Dal lake, enjoyin the mountains etc etc. just wow@! I guess the rainy weather has somewhat spoiled the plan, but anyways enjoy Kashmir no matter what happnes.

Kya baath hai Harish ji getting up at 5.15 Am is indeed an amazing experience in such cold places. That view you showed from your Room in Hotel Heemal is a granc spectacle. With a cup of Hot Tea in your hands . Heavenly experience. Glad you had your Breakfast at Krishna Dhaba. Doodhpatri is simply awesome. First time saw Snowbikes. So much valuable information you gave us. OF COURSE getting Breakfast at 7Am in such places is difficult. All the places you showed us in this episode are lovely. Harish ji fully loved and enjoyed this Great Digital travel with you. All the Best. Top class video coverage.

Hi Harish. Good behind the scenes video. Been to kashmir 4 times already and few such points that I did out there. Always stayed in Heemal only. Heemal has the best Presidential Suite on 1st floor.
Heemal se houseboat view is amazing. First time saw this in 2009 and was mesmerised.
1) This is how I do it. Instead of spending the best 2 morning hours in data copy, I carry some 10-15 memory cards of 64GB to 128GB.. So I can change them real quick and save lots of time. Only time required is to charge the devices. Again Heemal main light kaafi jaati hai aur unke paas power backup nahi hai
2) Srinagar main jab baarish hoti hai, means Either Sonmarg or Gulmarg main baraf ho raha hai. This is my 4 times experience of Srinagar. Gulmarg mainly Jan Feb main Gondola closes down due to heavy snow. Generally they dont close on normal days.
3) Breakfast ke liye Heemal or Boulevard road is best location. Reason is uske next door main around 2 to 3 very good Pure veg dhabas hai. And Aloo paranthas are amazing. Plus they serve veg south indian everything. And one of the dhabas open as early as 7.15am. All others at 8am.
Boulevard road is mainly known for the hotels and tourist area and Govt Taxi stand at govt rates. When I first visited in 2009, this place was filled with army personnel every 10 meters. This is done when any tension around LalChowk. But the place Boulevard road is purely tourist area and tourists are welcomed as God.
4) My Iternary always based out in Srinagar. Wahan se Day 2 main Sonmarg. Real beautiful places. Wahan se I return back and take a break of a day or 2 in srinagar. Usme I goto Pampore.. Nov main one can see Kesar ke kheti for max 15 to 20 days. Normally I skip other places.

Bali ji 12 years back i have visited Kashmir I had stayed in house boat at dal lake Srinagar . I suggest you take lunch and dinner at Mamta restaurant in Srinagar.
Sir aapne June ke mahine main jana chahiye tha...barish bilkul nahi hoti...har jagah clear view aur greenary hoti hai 😊
