स्री पुरूष दोन्ही एकाच परमेश्वराने निर्माण केलेली समांतर रूपे आहेत. मन , बुध्दी , भावना या दोघांनाही आहेत. मग स्रीला वेगळे नियम आणि पुरूषाला वेगळे हे का ? ... अतिशय सुरेख अभिनय केला आहे सर्वांनी. विशेष म्हणजे तब्बू .. समाजात या सिनेमामुळे स्रीपुरूष सबंधावर संवेदनशील विचार करण्याची जागरूकता येईल. खुप छान कथानक आहे.

I've dealed with these kind of men, who judged me by my past, never cheated them but just sharing my painful past...they never understood me they blamed me bkhz it hurt their ego they are allowed to do anything with thousand girls but just after sharing my pain I thought they would maturely handel. Even if they want to leave atleast communicate clearly and then leave but they made their own decision dint allow me to even express my feelings they had put question mark on my character but they are, so called "MAN" naive enough. It needs courage: to speak the truth, to stay in that pain for years, to mute your emotions when you're already dying inside... IT REALLY NEEDS COURAGE and few men are dying with their useless ego. A Big Thank, to this movie I always blamed myself and thought they were right, I was wrong but no more it feels relief. Seems like God wanted to bring me out of this illusion. Thankyou for this movie.❤️❤️

1. Having an affair is one thing and carrying a child from the affair, bringing him up as husband's child is just on another level.
2. Aditi said she herself told that the son is Malhar's child. But actually she had no other option bcoz of the dates question put up by Shree. She was caught n dumbfounded.
3. There is something called DNA testing. Aditi glorified herself too much on "Only mother knows...".
4. If you don't like your husband or wife for whatever reasons, u discuss n resolve or separate. Cheating while in relation should not be portrayed as just a momentary slip.
I loved Tabu's performance. She is so natural.
1. having an affair means having feeling for others, she did have a child, but she didn't have any feelings for the guy. as she mentioned while she was with the guy, her husband was in her thought. all these happened because her husband didn't give her any time, neither he allowed his wife to work, she was very lonely and only a lonely person can understand her, when you are lonely, you will always find for a companionship. you don't think of what is right or wrong.
2. Aditi wanted to tell him everything the next day, but because of the husband happiness she couldn't tell, the husband join the dots only after he found out the other guy wrote his properties in her name.
3. she never said that she didn't like her husband, she always loved her husband, many times she told the husband to stay with her, have child with her. but he never cared for her feelings, he was only busy with his own business. the husband was very dominant, he talks on behalf of her, she reads her letters. but still the wife didn't have any issues, because she loved him. so she couldnt talk her heart out. but finally she spoke her heart because she was freed from her husbands dominency.
Tabu is above all. Tabu a great actress superb acting. Thanks to whole 'Astitva' team writer , director & dialogs.

Aditi is right in many aspects
1 she accepts her mistakes
2 she stays loyal to her family for years.
3 her sacrifice to gave her dreams for her family is underrated

No words epic in 2000s make such a good movie watching in 2023
The husband has problems and he couldn't give her a child but the society always blames woman and calls them baanjh... after Aniket they never have any other children, rather he could not make her pregnant ever. But still she stays faithful to him after that one time with Malhar. And yes, the husband is not faithful with Aditi... he sleeps with other women during his business trips that's also established in the movie...
Great movie ! Beautiful Tabu . Made me think what that lady's life would have been if she had left her husband for that music teacher .....

She should have instead staying in marriage and continue to hide from her husband that big lie. This heart break atleast for teh child wouldn’t have happened and she spoilt the music teacher life who stayed unmarried for whole life.
Hope men of this attitude learn a lesson from this in India .

Aniket was n will always be Aditi's n Malhar's son that's his reality.
At the very end when Aniket n Shree heard Aditi speak for the first time they somewhere realised how harsh they are , having forgiven themselves but not the lady who was loyal towards them for 25 years.
Aniket's tears n smile hinted at his mom's words piercing through & reaching his heart, softening him.
He might not be able to think clearly at the moment but soon he'll look back n all the loving memories of 25 years will come back..how his mom loved him n raised him ..never neglecting him..
if he feels all this n becomes sensitive enough then he won't leave his mom's side ever.
When someone does something wrong , they know it , n they repent as well. The guilt is still there , we shouldn't bother them cuz they already are suffering at the 1 wrong move they made in life.

According to me. Aditi and Shrikant never truely loved each other. If aditi would have truely loved shrikant then she would have never imagined shrikant in another man. And if shrikant had true love for aditi then after knowing all the reality also he would have never questioned aditi bcz of his true love.

It is not easy to accept all these. It was not just a single time cheating. She made him spend his time, love, care for others child. Every time he thinks about it. I can't imagine his pain. It would have been better if she told him when she was pregnant. It would have been less painful for him. And he would have moved on after a few years.

Sadly, her husband is to blame for what happened. It's all cause and effect. It was her husband who suggested that she start her music lessons again. He, the husband set the stage for this to happen. Any sensible husband or wife would not allow his wife to take music lessons from a young, virile handsome man. But how about the poor husband's belief that the child was his and he raised the boy? The husband lost his younger years to raising someone else's child. If she had told him the truth, he might have divorced her and married someone else and had his own child. So this wife is also to be blamed. Either she should have aborted the baby or she should have married the music teacher. The music teacher is also to blame because he shouldn't have been fooling around with a married woman, no matter the rain, the music, the love sickness. But why did this husband and wife not have other children? That's the big question.
It is suggested through tabus words in the end that they did not have other children because he was impotent

Great movie. I can watch this movie any number of times. Kudos to Manjrekar s direction. But practically I doubt a son accepting his mother's extramarital affair whatever the reason is! Hope the thinking changes.
