Ultra is one of the best DM albums, and Barrel of a Gun is an incredible song... I hardly happened to see other songs in which text and music melted so perfectly and even more perfectly merged with the reality of the events happened to the band (or rather happened to Dave) in the previous year...
Martin Gore is an amazing songwriter. I wonder if Dave Gahan's heroin addiction inspired this. I have been sober 11 years but whenever I hear this song it really takes me back to what was going on in my head when I was stuck in my addiction. Amazingly accurate description!

Yes. In fact he i heard he had a NDE and saw Jesus. It changed his life for the better completely. I just hope and pray he does not relapse
