Eureka Springs is my second favorite vacation town next to Branson. When I was a kid, my Mom and Grandma would take us on a week long vacation every summer, half in Eureka and half in Branson. When my kids were old enough, I started taken them, and someday i hope to take my grandkids too.

I too went to Branson and Eureka Springs as a kid and we threw in Hot Springs too. It was my first introduction to the Ozarks. Thanks again for watching and commenting.

I'll never forget having breakfast at the hotel when I was 13 in 1974. Dad was so mad at mom for talking him into paying $4.99 for the breakfast buffet for us four. $20 was alot of money for breakfast back then. Those old buildings clinging to the cliffsides facinated me.

Eureka Springs was a vacation spot for me and my family as a kid also. There was a "smorgasbord" buffet somewhere there in town where we would eat. I remember being cautioned as a kid not to take anything we weren't going to eat because we might be charged extra...different times! Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@findushere Back then that was the #1 rule at a buffet. "Eat everything you take".😁. There's so much waisted food now.😥

@@roderickrayrutledge2740 So true! Now we pay $50 or more at buffets to sample lots of things and throw away lots more and then wonder why they cost so much!

@@findushere I've never paid more than $15 for a meal ever. I just made a big pot of beef stew that my neighbors are always asking me to make. These places used to be so quaint and now they're so overrated and greedy. I rode in the "Duck" in 1978 for $8.50.

I have some neat memories of family trips to Eureka Springs, but I don't enjoy going there as much as I used to.

I have not stayed in Eureka Springs since I was a kid traveling with the family but I enjoy the day trip from Branson when I can get down that way. Thanks for watching and commenting!

We live about 200 miles from Eureka Springs and try to go every year for a few days. Lots to do. However like i commented in other videos, I'm tired of every place you go to in that town, somebody wants a tip. I know its getting worse like that all over, but its awful in Eureka Springs. We even went to the Chamber of Commerce and they had a tip jar on the desk.

I can't argue with you on that. It does seem that ever since 2020, tipping has changed. What was once considered temporary to support people seems to have become permanent. I always try to tip but I like for it to be where and when I decide based on service. Thanks for watching the channel!

Did you know there's a hole in the top of big Jesus' head where a bunch of birds live?
