Offensive line had a tough day yesterday. We’ve got a long way to go. Hopefully, we can turn this around. The defense looks like they will keep us in a lot of games. I believe in the offensive line coach can fix this. We will see. GigEm BTHO everyone
2018 is a decent comparison to this group. I have heard this one is faster and more athletic, though. Albeit some of that comes from a possibility of using Bussey and the other true fish. So how much those guys will be ready to play is TBD. But it seems there may be more top end potential in this group than 2018, who really only had Davis and Jones as who would be described as quicker. Ausbon, Rogers, and the rest more possession type guys. This team has Tease, Bussey (let's be real, we all know he's practicing on offense), I Williams, Bethel-Roman, Allen, Campbell, Barber if he gets back to form, who all have speed/quickness. Much more top end potential by midseason than 2018, IMHO.
No, you’re got your 4 hardest games at home. 9 minimum is a good year but 10+ is what we should shoot for. Next year those 4 will be on the road. It’s gonna be harder to get 9 next year than 10 this year with the schedule. Plus we could lose some key guys - Shemars (1 for sure), maybe even Weigman or other juniors if they hit it big this year.
No one inside the program would consider that a success. I'm not saying heads need to roll at 8 wins. Obviously, this is year one, and you have no idea how long it's going to take to adapt to a new culture, new offensive and defensive systems, personnel not being recruited to those systems, etc. But 8 wins is not the expectation nor would it be considered a success. It would be the very definition of "meh". The schedule only gets tougher in 2025, and will all the potential losses after this year, there's no guarantee we will be a better team next year than this year. I mean, look at what could happen to our DL. You may lose all of Stewart, Scourton, and Turner. Weigman could turn pro. There's a ton of JRs that would have to be recruited back, and we'd have to do real damage in the portal, to be as good on paper next year as this year.
@@bradleypowers3580 How many wins would you need in order to consider this season a success? We haven't won 8 games in 3 seasons... I would love more wins...but 8 would be a step in the right directions for me, for a year 1 coach, with a completely new team essentially.
ooof, comparing the WR corps to 2018 group is scary for the Ags. Yikes. 7-8 wins tops sadly. Skill position will be a great weakness this year sadly. The O-line will likely take a big step forward but the gains won't be seen. Aggies just don't have the players to make that make a difference. Sucks man.
How is it 8 wins tops? The 2018 group won 8, 9 after the bowl, and they had a middle of the pack defense. This defense on paper is MUCH better than the 2018 defense. Just a whole other world. If 2018 could win 8 with sophomore Mond, that group of receivers, and that defense, why can't 2024 win more with Weigman and a MUCH better defense? 8 wins is certainly possible, but by no means our ceiling.
@@bradleypowers3580 yeah I misspoke. I think we get to ten wins honestly. I've done a lot more research and I just think this team is going to go about its business as professionals and the Moffit effect will be on full display. So you're taking super talented players that now have discipline. You are using cutting edge technology to incentivize behavior and I think the team will make a big jump because of it. Plus, the schedule is looking really good. Mizzou will be down this year, Florida as well, Miss State is not good, Arkansas they own, and Notre Dame is a paper tiger. So outside LSU and Texas, I think you get ten wins and make the playoffs.

Win 8 games this year and it's a success... hopefully the offense can compliment the defense. It all starts with the o line and the running game.
I beg to differ. The goal is 10 wins
.....at least👍🤠

Appreciate that 30 second break gives me time to either grab a snack, drop a deuce or rub one out.
Someone that crass should just combine all 3 👍🏻
No one does less with more than Texas A&M. Won't beat Notre Dame.
Scrimmage?
