Right now as we speak east Africa is the most suitable place for all black people trying to move from the west. Definitely Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Rwanda. They seem to be better organized than Nigeria and west Africa. If Nigeria did not have a lot of corruption and scams maybe they could attract money to their country but that doesnt seem to be the case. They also need to work on their systems, infrastructure, electricity, internet etc. Nobody want to move from the west to a place without electricity and internet like Nigeria.

Surely you people. We don't want another LIBERIA SITUATION in east Africa. You think you can just demand to be given land in east Africa? If you start showing this kind of aggressive behavior who is going to want this headache in their country? Just follow the rules. Come in as investors, establish legal residence and live according to the Law. Otherwise just take those demands to west Africa which is more connected to slave descendants etc. The LIBERIA situation was a horrible experience for the natives to be insulted, disrespected and enslaved by the slaves that America set free to go back to Africa. That nonsense we will not entertain in e. Africa. If your parents left east Africa and moved to the west you can easily get land but descendants of slaves can demand land from Ghana and Nigeria, Togo, Liberia etc. east African land first and foremost belongs to the natives. you cannot expect the govts to give you land that belongs to natives. They are already being kind enough to offer free visa so aprreciate or turn west.

Brother Julius🙏🏾✊🏾. Thank you! I "live" in Uganda for the last three years. I'm a retired Black American, and Ive been blowing this horn since I arrived here. I love Uganda but my money stays in my pocket until I get some type of reciprocity. African countries are missing a huge opportunity here. Not only do we hire local people, we pay them FAIRLY, not the poverty maintaining wages that others give, exploiting them and the lack of minimum wage policies. Not here for those "extra curricular fees" either, I have experienced them first hand when trying to get something done the proper way.

There is a due process of becoming a resident then citizen in any country and Africa is not exception. There are a lot African diaspora who are abusing Seirre Leone free visa process. Most of them fly there because their DNA link pick their citizenship and move on to more developed countries. You need to prove your fidelity and royalty to a country, it took me 10 years to get my US citizenship. I hope Kenya should shorten it for African diaspora maybe three years.. By becoming American citizen at the time I lost my Kenyan citizenship because we did not have dual citizenship . Now the law has changed it took me a year to reacquire my Kenyan citizenship, I do agree with Mwalimu Nyerere that Kenya gov should cut the red tape and grant him residents, also I am in big support of our people coming home.

@@andeyo1you have no idea what you’re talking about. First of all, Sierra Leone doesn’t have free visas for the diaspora. They pay for visas like anyone else. Secondly, the vast majority of people who’ve obtained citizenship through DNA have bought land, assisted with villages, and have opened or are in the process of opening businesses there. Yes, there are administrative and logistical hurdles that may not exist in more developed nations, but no one is using Sierra Leone. These diasporans are grateful. Stop with your negativity and lies. 🤬

@@Tiger-zp8eq Why should free be always about money, by free I mean you do not have to wait for 5 or 7 years. As longer as you can prove via DNA a link to SL you automatically get citizenship. I know what I am talking about, our people from Diaspora unlike whites, Chinese, Indians who are in Africa do not want to get dirty, they want it already made, that is why many have Nigeria connection but would rather go to SA, even in US those with a bag prefer to move to white barbs. I know a lot of AA in Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast Kenya and SA via SL, once you have SL passport you can travel to all ECOWAS visa free and easy and way cheaper to travel to EAF and SADC. Yes our countries should try hard and have plans in place to welcome our people not because they have dollars but because Africa is their home, but blackmail and ultimate is not the way to go. Africa is origin of mankind and is going nowhere. .

@@andeyo1 listen, it’s clear you’re a jealous hater. Why the hell do we have to get dirty? Africans aren’t getting dirty themselves and that’s why the continent is in shambles. You want us to do something you aren’t willing to do???
Our ancestors were SOLD from Africa by African traitors. Their land, identity and everything was taken from them. Their descendants (US) are just as entitled to Africa as you, if they want to come. The least those slave trading nations can do is give back what was stolen from us thru citizenship. We shouldn’t have to beg or wait. Talk your nonsense to someone else. People like you are happy that other races are in Africa raping it blind for its resources. 🙄

At 5:30 he says the diaspora isn’t coming in Africa to look for jobs but rather to invest and operate businesses coz they’ve got capital already in place! So the petition they’re seeking with EAC is to be able to have certain rights like rights to live, operate businesses and work 👍 And we welcome them back in East Africa especially Kenya 🇰🇪 since our president has now scrapped the visa requirements 😊 Come to Kenya and let’s build kenya together 💪👊

Vice versa. There is enough professionals, another ph.d , after another . Africa like any other country... is more interested in what opportunities than another ph.d to add to collection . If you think that same skin color trumps opportunity ... unfortunately. It is business world. Africa had direct access to western and non western partners/ allies already. I hope this helps

Odd. For Ghana it is explained that you can just come find a Ghanaian partner and start a business.
Now Kenya has businesses with foreign owners where they started it with a Kenyan partner. So I should think these foreigners do not or at least did not originally have the work visa. So I'm confused for the need of this petition and the circular rules since visibly it has been done.
I can imagine these things being confusing but what am I missing?

    • @kim1570
      @kim1570 11 месяцев назад +3

I think the issue is that the entry barrier for foreigners to start businesses in Kenya is still very high, which is why you mainly see only the top international organizations, or wealthy foreign individuals starting businesses in the country. I think what he's asking for is for some/many of those restrictive barriers to be eliminated so that the average Joe in the diaspora with a few thousand dollars, can easily start a venture in the country, and not just high net worth individuals and multinational companies. Some of the things that would assist the Afro diaspora in this are an easier Kenyan residency process, among other things.

@@kim1570 I later understood that starting the business wasn't as much the problem. Or even getting a bank account but the risk of having to depend on a local partner you might not yet trust. Which I can understand somewhat but...
It's not strange that there are multiple people in a business with that kind of access to the organisation's bank account. So that risk exists in other countries as well. The big difference that I see is that there you would use the legal system to resolve such issues and well it generally scares of people from trying such things. For example in Canada where he's from the risk is not so high. Technically, Kenya has a legal system as well but the risk may indeed be higher and going to court is just more difficult for him.
In the end it's special treatment that he wants. And I don't disagree that he's proposing a win-win deal. Maybe some countries will go along with it. Especially in the current shifting geopolitical climate. But it's hard to predict the future. Let him try and perhaps he'll get it.

My advice to African Americans is go to your ancestral homeland West Africa. Many West African governments are offering different programs to the diaspora. The Ghana government and chiefs are working to assist you settle. It’s not perfect but that’s your original home home. The chiefs in Ghana have apologized for the bad actions of some of our common ancestors for participating in slavery. East Africa is Africa and they are our cousins but that’s not your home! East Africa is beautiful to visit and vacation but settling there is a whole other issue. Just read some of the disrespectful and hurtful comments some East Africans are making on this episode? They don’t get it.
Ghana chiefs are offering free land for you. You just have to pay administrative fee for your indenture and site plan. You may be ways from the cities at some of these lands but with time the entire place will develop. Please first go back to your ancestral homeland in West Africa and get your piece of mind. You’re entitled to that land as much as the continental African. One chief in Ghana recently said in a video that the ancestors have already communicated to him that the sons and daughters of those who were taken will be returning home and he needs to prepare a place for them to settle 😢😢😢

Problem is bro is that there is deep political issues with that.. there are powerful people that control Kenya.. with all that’s going on with countries being liberated in Africa , the powers that be will be very leery of opening up Africa to that extent. It will give the people more power, in some cases to much power! These people don’t want that. It’s about control ! It’s the same exact issues that Jamaica has! The colonizers are in the shadows and they want to keep Africans poor! So it’s an uphill battle!

SIR no one looks for a job in Africa 😂😂😂😂. Everyone is hustling. You need to go to where your DNA/lineage ties to in west Africa. How can someone who left Jamaica and lived in Canada still be confused about how immigration works? Extra curricula fees is paid by immigrants all over the world. Do you know how much an immigrant visa costs from Africa to the west? Then you get there, and at the airport you can't work unless you had a prior work permit in your country? Don't just loiter around the continent thinking you're going to wing it 😂😂😂. It's called a jungle for a reason! Dang.

this dude needs to speak for himself and his country. Canada and America are NOT the same country. and he needs to stop acting as if he knows what's it like to be black in America. Black american can be very successful America, yea people will remind you that you are black, but so what. It's not like Kenya isn't tribal as well. also I can't speak for Jamaicans, but black Americans don't need special handouts, we THRIVE under pressure.
