Backup depends on the battery that you use. If you use the small battery that I have used in the video, it will give you 4-5 hours of 22watts light when the battery is completely charged. If you use a standard home inverter with a 165Ah battery, it will give you enough power for most home lights/fans for 8-9 hours. So it depends on how you want to use it and which battery you combine this setup with. Hope this answers your question.
