Once I saw a truck driver eating alone at a highway rest area. I sat nearby and start conversation. I can see he was delighted. I didn’t know about the loneliness of a truck driver then. I will do it more next time.
Im a trucker too bro...when you drive alone especially a long trips...you can feel the extreme loneliness....no matter how good is your radio sounds still the loneliness came to you haha
Excellent video. A good insight into the life of a local trucker. Would've like to hear him talk about his experience but we can leave that for the sequel 👍
My respect to all the truck drivers who sacrifice their time n family to deliver foods across the boarder they drive for hours just to put food on table for their familys. .My respect to you guys.🙏🙏 May god bless u.
This kind of interesting short story also can get dislike. No heart. Maybe that person is against CNA so that is why that person press dislike in every CNA news. 😕

People keep saying farmers works very hard to grow veges so don't waste food, but truck drivers too! And its difficult to be the only chinese driver in the industry, respects.
''Driving truck is a lonesome job'' ??? He doesn't represent us at all. He should get out from that, and see the WORLD of Malaysian Trucking industry. It's not sayur only. Varieties of trucking is out here. For most of us, DRIVING TRUCKS is an AWESOME job, hands down by far.
@Abang Zul agree, if he get out of that and join communities like Malaysian truckers he can also represent Malaysian Chinese people in the trucking industry which many Chinese people don't get envloed with
Cool! And very interesting! I wish they could make more video’s on his life, like, does he have any family? Does he have any brothers or sisters? Where did he live as a child with his parents? I would love to see a video on some of that in his life too. 😊👍
Cool mountainous air with breathtaking views of the tea plantations. But it’s not as cool and pristine as it was 20-30 years ago. It’s very touristy now especially during the weekends and SG & MSIAN school holidays with traffic jams in the town areas like Brinchang and Tanah Rata. Also the last time I went 3 years ago, the place was rather polluted. It’s a shame.
immigration in singapore is very fast. In malaysia, sometimes a lot of the counters are closed and the 2 that are open, the officers there look tired. Sg is clearing too many vehicles which malaysia isnt handling. Not defaming the malaysians so please be careful and dont try and say that i am racist. (for those who are reading lol)
The reporter also non chinese. Dont think they are able to communicate properly. This report is just a first hand observation of the driver's work routine
It should be more detailed. Put the interesting part like how did he manage to escape death, show the twisty roads in Cameron Highland, how much diesel being gulped, breakdowns, rainy days, the pay, the sweat and tears etc etc. We all need to know this. Please, be concise. We care for our truck drivers. They are our life line. Appreciate it if you can show more. More is better.

So sad that cliques are still based on ethnicity. I remember during a government event at a hotel where people were sitting according to their ethncities or dialect groups. I managed to find a vacant table to sit alone. I understand how it must be for him.
In Malaysia, the minorities like the Chinese & especially the Tamils are increasingly being marginalised by the majority Malay population.CNA should highlight this.
institutionalized racism is going away. but don't put all the blame on us. The others also dont want to integrate to the national culture but rather living in their pockets of ignorance.
@@KhaleedAiril ,you may be right, but I see the rise of hardline Islamic radicals in Malaysia which is bit surprising as there seemed better tolerance earlier.Maybe you can't see this aspect in KL but in other regions.

Truck drivers should not be tasked with unloading goods (as shown on the video during the unloading of vegetables in Singapore). Truck drivers should only be responsible for driving. This practice harms truck drivers in the long run and should be addressed by workers' rights organisations.
People like him are the reason why Malaysia is a country with a functional logistics system. We support people like him by purchasing what he brought.

Been there, done that. Being a truck driver is way way a lot better and fulfilling than being a Call Center Agent!
Many truckers I spoke to said similar. The 15 to unloading is tough, though.

I heard that Cameron Highlands is a nice place. Hope to visit it one day
Plus , it's recommended to bring jackets to keep yourself warm , because the word 'hot' does not exist in Cameron Highlands

it would be an improvement if the causeway or second link can be designed to minimise their waiting time each day

waiting at the casueway checkpoint really waste a lot of time, in that 48 hours shift, probably he have to waste 6 hours plus for waiting.
