Otis I’m a connoisseur of most genres of music. At 73 I am grateful for you, your music and the great videos and talent you present on the channel. Keep it all coming. Many thanks.
Great guy and great interview. I was a touring musician for 20+ years and met some amazing people along the way. Found myself in a bunch of "pinch me" situations. It's wonderful when folks you admire turn out to be cool humans on top of it. When you reach a certain level, the talent field is pretty even and one of the main things that will bring opportunities is being a "good hang". This guy and pretty much all the people interviewed here are living proof of that. Including you Otis. Peace.
What a great interview Todd is! Each episode is better than the last. He has great stories and can really tell them. So excellent! Thanks, Otis, for just letting people talk. The flow is wonderful that way.
Thank you Otis, for doing these interviews with these fascinating creative people. I get so much enjoyment from listening to these stories. You pick great subjects too. Some of them are new to me, which sends me off to look for new artists.
That tweed Twin was Eric’s favourite recording amp. Cesar Diaz did a lot of work on it because it kept blowing up. ‘When it sounds good, that’s when you’ve really gotta watch out!’ EC
What a great guy man. It’s no coincidence I don’t believe that he not only met all these musicians, but hung with and played as well. Zero ego and love and appreciation for his fortunes. Another interesting cat; another deep dive. You’re keeping me busy Otis.
If you haven't heard that Christine McVie album - just titled Christine McVie, from 1984, definitely check it out. I had no interest in the album at the time, but my then girlfriend bought it. Great album! The tune with Steve Winwood rocks harder than anything Christine did with Fleetwood Mac. The rest of the album is really well done rock/pop that you would expect from Christine. I saw her live when she was touring that album - great band Todd! I still listen to it regularly, and have turned many people onto it.
hi todd it's coat jacket it was so great to see you talking about all the heavy hanging you did i was so lucky to have jammed with you every day in aspen that summer not to mention living in tents by castle creek love you
lol… when I first saw this come up I thought this was Joe Glasser .😆… Very cool interview!! Stevie Winnwood has always been my favorite British rocker !
Todd worked in a record shop across the street from my brother’s stereo store in the Coventry neighborhood of East Cleveland. For me, Todd was the guy I looked up to as a great musician! But I never met him.
The first time I heard about Todd was in the 1970s. It was an article in Guitar Player about John Carruthers and his guitar repairs. There was a picture of Todd’s Strat with a pretty interesting custom pickguard.

Otis, you should visit Barnes, the London village where Olympic was/is. I lived there for 15 months in 2022-2023 and would be happy to point you in the right direction.
Great guy to interview . Was this recorded at his shop? I bet Randall Bramblett has some stories. He played with Steve Winwood for years. He lives in Georgia now .
Todd repaired my Fender Princeton Reverb and it sounds great! He also has an excellent solo CD that was done a while back, and it is excellent! Check it out.
IMHO …. Stevie and Christine are the two most over looked musician/songwriter/ singers in rock history !! You are so lucky to have had that experience …..but you know that😉
Todd builds and repairs amps for your favorite guitar players. You should check out his website and tell him Otis sent you.

His pure joy of working with great musicians comes out here. Boy, wouldn’t I love this to happen to me! Great interview!

@thjonez, right. I don’t believe it was coincidence.

Highly enjoyable stories, thanks. Does Todd still own Django's Epiphone Zephyr?
Percussionist Ray Cooper has played with just about everybody, on record and as a touring sideman.

Todd had a 56 Strat with him when he brought to KC the 65 Pro Reverb he built for me on Delbert McClinton’s bus. He is a gear nut as bad as I am
What’s the name of the McVey album?
✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
profound.
👌😎
Isn’t Ray Cooper the guy that plays the triangle n’ shit?
Yes, look him up. His list of albums/tours is astounding.

Humility is the most attractive of characteristics. This guy has it in spades - you're welcome at mine 8 days a week.
