People keep saying that, and it's crazy to me.
The Vikings wanted to resign Cousins guess what they also wanted to draft his replacement too in the first round. For those that are slow. That means they were trying to do the exact same thing the Flacons just beat them to it. So why is it bad for the Falcons but would have been good for them?!?!?. 🤪
2nd The Falcons are loaded. Anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy. Everyone who covered the USC Trojans knows that Drake London was better than Saint Brown in college it was easy to see. His freshman year, he was already the best WR at USC, hands down.
    London is about to explode.
Kyle Pitts almost broke the NFL record for TEs his rookie season. If you think Engram, T.J. Hockenson, or Samuel LaPorta, are better than Pitts , so there is no use talking to you.
The amount of space Mooney is about to have is going to be 🤪. He is going to feel like he is stealing.
And Robinson...smh the holes he is about to be able to run through because the passing game is dominating is going to be crazy. The man is about to give Defenses crazy work.
People can believe what they want, but its about to get ugly.

@@TheBrotherHoodSportsit’s really not…every team in the nfl knew the falcons were going to run the ball so they would stack the box like crazy and look at what bijan and algier was still able to do. The only year pitts had a decent QB he literally was like 10-15yds off the rookie receiving record. London still managed to almost got a thousand yards despite a QB who literally couldn’t get the ball to him in the slightest. There are 3-4 games last year that Ridder actively lost. (That’s me low balling honestly) Kirk is almost on the same level as Matt there isn’t any reason to suggest that our receivers aren’t about to cook. And if our receivers can cook that means our rb can cook too because they won’t be stuffed up in the pocket. It’s honestly not a hard conclusion to make. The defense despite big media and average fans was actually in the top half of the nfl top 11 truthfully the only thing they lacked in really was sacks but they were constantly ranked in the top half the entire season

Im actually interested in which scenario most people would rather do or have for their team.
Scenario 1 you take Penix at 8 in a good QB class and let him learn for 2 years then take over year 3 when kirks guarantees are done. You now have 3 years rookie contract and 10+ years of Penix at Qb if he is what you think he is. You only lost out on 1 edge rusher doing this at 8 and only used 1 pick taking a QB.
Scenario 2 next year or the year after you 100% now have to get a QB for the future to replace kirk soon. Kirk should have you in the 15 to 25 range if he is as advertised. To go get a QB from that far down into the top 5 for a QB in a weaker QB class and worse prospect than penix. You now have to trade up and it will cost you close to what Carolina paid to move up that far. You are now giving up multiple 1st round picks and 2nd round picks + a good vet player. Carolina gave up 2 1st's 2 2nd's and DJ Moore atleast.
I don't know about you but im much more inclined to miss out on 1 edge rusher at 8 now to grab a better QB prospect. Than give up multiple early round picks and a vet good player in a year or 2 from now. As good as Latu or Turner might be they aren't worth giving up all those picks in a year or 2 now to go after a QB then thats a worse prospect than Penix.

Everyone keeps talking about the wrong thing with this team, it's the players you need to be talking about. I mean, you have essentially a top 10/5 O'line w/Robinson, a.k.a., a run game. A young defense that held their own vs. 3rd% and RZ% last season, the only bad stat was PA (18th). Kirk will easily run a top 10 offense in the McVay system with that O'line, and it was proven last year he doesn't need Justin Jefferson to do it (though he'd like to have him). A top 10 O'line, top 10 Defense and Offense in Pts, with a solid run game - I've followed Kirk for 12 years, he's never had all this on one team. If team stays relatively healthy, and players gel into their roles as a team, Falcons could steamroll through playoffs. None better than Kirk to have this chance, he deserves a very well built team, like Mahomes has always had.
