It's hard to put into words what connects me so strongly to all of Xavier Dolan's films, but he is an inspiration to me in terms of beautiful storytelling that stays with you long after you watch a film. In this interview ruclips.net/video/TycXnUDKF1Q/видео.html he says that it's his goal not necessarily for his work to be acknowledged as good, but instead says he wants to "..make movies that matter to certain people for certain reasons." His films have definitely had that effect on me. Even though I've never been in most of the situations his movies depict, they deeply resonate with me. My goal with this channel is the same, I've never been good at expressing my emotions with words. So, I hope we can share a human experience through film and music instead.
I feel the same. I haven't been in situations like his movies but he has very fast become my favorite director. I love all his movies and have watched each one multiple times. They all speak to me in different ways. His cinematography is like nothing I've seen before,his characters are all amazing. Love him so much
