I wont leave but i will very much miss the Dota days when it does come to an end. I'm probably one of the few people that have been watching for about a decade that actually still consistently plays Dota, so that's why I appreciate the fact that you still play

Contrary to popular comments, I play dota occasionally and I watch your videos everyday without fail and I love that they are dota arcade games. I found you on Twitch, watched you livestream for months, even ended up playing with you in a few games during livestream lobbies (1x6 and other arcade games) and then switched to watching your RUclips channel because of work. My favorite bit about your channel is that you've become that one friend whose life i have followed online for a long time. 😊
I love all your dota content and wish you would continue, if that helps. I realize that I may be being a little selfish here though.
Whatever you decide, I'll be on your next channel, just like Stories of Dota. 😄
PS: Sweet Dreams Alex on my steam deck is *chef's kiss*

Honestly? I think you're well aware that a large part of your audience doesn't even play dota, myself included. A switch off dota content would take some getting used to, but I think the majority of people here just like hearing you talk about interesting stuff. The game doesn't matter as much.

I've been watching you for years and for most of it I havent been playing dota. I really enjoy the vibe of the custom game videos. It's fun to watch you play something that's not too mentally intensive while still being interesting. But mostly it's just nice to listen to you talk about random things with some other stimulus in between. You generally have interesting, well thought out views which you can articulate quite well. I hope to stick around, but life goes on for both of us, so you do what's best for you. Regardles of what happens or what you decide, I hope you find solace in your decision and good fortune in many of the things you do. Thanks for the many good years, it meant a lot

"I want everyone to do something cool and the game to end in a funny way," Yeah! That's how I play Commander too, I'd never touch a Sol Ring. I guess I view the game where you milled that guy and he blew up your stuff right at the end as both you and him getting to do something cool, and it created a story that's emotionally resonating far behind just the immediate people in the game. To me that's a perfect example of making fun memorable games more than playing to win.

Honestly, I'm here to see what ever game Baumi has to offer. I enjoyed the "something new" kind of videos, such as Brotato, it doesn't have to be Dota.
Actually, it's more fun to see something like Tower defense, and whatever game that Baumi's trying to figure it out along with the viewers.

You missed the point. I have fun doing my best to win. If I don't win it's fine, I still enjoy the experience. Playing a game that has a win condition and not really doing your best to win is something the rest of the players should agree from the beginning.

    swarm bugs _are_ summons
however, they do not actually attack. in fact, they do not even have attack damage. the swarm itself does spell damage over time to any unit the bugs attach to, meaning auras that buff units are useless. inversely, though, since it's one of weaver's abilities doing spell damage, you can grab a kaya and a veil and boost their damage that way

    • @hi-i-am-atan
      @hi-i-am-atan 7 месяцев назад

I would love for it to go continue, however I do understand that an individual needs to move forward if they feel the need to evolve and I’m all in for it.
Point being is, it sucks that youre gonna stop doing Dota content on this channel, but I will still be watching even if you move on to other things. I think alot will agree that dota is just a small part of what makes us watch your channel. Youre the star of the show! All the best and looking forward!

I actually got in here because of the Smite video, from like a thousand years ago.
I stayed because of your really clear voice, every other english channel sounded like absolute gibberish for me but whenever you spoke I could easily recognize the words and slowly I got better.
Today I just find you and your videos funny, interesting and comforting? Like relaxing in the couch after a tiring day lmao
But I feel like a bit of an outlier on this issue as my favorite youtubers just play a bunch of weird games without a real focus on a game outside of a few series that update every other week or so.
Anyways what I am saying is if you really want to play other, different, games I am all in for it.
I know you said you would still want to focus on a specific thing, but I'd love to see you just play whatever you feel like, even if only once in a while.

there's something very funny about the idea of there having to be some central idea to variety content when just a few days ago, the very first lper i ever watched started a halo 3 lp
you might not think that is too unusual, but let me emphasize: he started a halo *_3_* lp. not a halo series lp. he has not played halo 1 or 2. he does not even play fpses all that much, with the only examples in particular being half-life 2 and black mesa a while back. in that order
oh, and he also started it while also playing super mario galaxy 2 and rusted moss. and he's most known for playing super mario world hacks and super mario bros x episodes. he has also done All the Mega Men and got _seriously_ far into All the Sonics, which are exactly what they sound like
you could certainly say he _mostly_ does platformers, i guess. but damn if that's not a desperate attempt at trying to peg _some_ kinda central thing down
and really, that's not even getting to all the funky queer women i've accumulated in my subscriptions that just do whatever the fuck they're hyperfixating on at the moment. strength of personality really does go a long way, as does the heart they put into everything they make

Top 10 most picked / banned heroes on TI
Top 10 items removed from dota
Top 10 Dota official events or modes (Halloween, year beast, etc)
Top 10 bugs or exploits used in pro / pub games (pudge fountain hook #1 for sure)
Top 10 easiest heroes to play (beginner guide)
Top 10 best custom mods of all time
Top 10 best win rate heroes of all patches
Top 10 funny pub strategies that actually worked
Top 10 banned heroes of all time ("-apem pros only no Zeus lobbies "from WC3)
Well, the lists could go on forever if you want to dedicate on it.

If you do move to something else I'll certainly miss dota, but I'm sure that it'll still bring the same energy you bring to all your stuff. Also, I think having dota 2 sometimes on *twitch* but just not on RUclips could be a way to keep it around, since you mentioned yourself it's a sort of "third channel", and frankly, feels like the community playing with people who have similar desires in the videogame is the reason you enjoy it so much anyway, not all the mtg wieners :p

Your channel is your personality, your opinion and your views on the world and the things you believe important to talk about. Dota is the thing we have in common that I'm willing to watch and you're willing to record, but how often are you even talking about the game you're playing for more than 50% of the video?
Your channel is probably the one I've watched the longest, and you moving away from Dota is probably the only major channel change you've made that I saw coming. And to me it's the only thing that makes sense for your channel.
Good luck with making the decision, if you continue being as genuine and honest as you usually are I have no reason to stop watching your content. :)

Hmm… I don’t think you need to figure out, or even discuss the direction, yet. Make the video. All of us would be like, “Look! A Baumi video!” And if it keeps working, you make the switch, but if it doesn’t, business as usual right? It could be like a sleeper build.

been watching you play for a decade at this point and noticed how much you've been trying to break out of the dota content space, I hope that whatever you've found works out though I'll be sad to see the dota days gone.

People who play games that have a win condition and don't play to win to the best of their abilities should only play with people who have the same mindset/expectations. If not, you are just ruining the game for others being selfish, like "I play for fun!". I also play for fun, but part of the fun is trying to win. Related to your example in MTG, when you choose not to use a specific card because you don't want to, would you do the same when playing chess, like choose not to use the Queen because she is to powerful? How many chess players will want to play with you in that case? My point is also related to your initial story when you considered the player that "killed" your cards an asshole. I consider him a hero! Your view on this matter is very biased and subjective, judging people's play style because it's something you won't do.

Personally, I've not cared about the game you play for a long time. I've been watching your content for 10+ years and its almost exclusively because of your personality.
I'm here for Baumi, not the game Baumi is playing

I think I just disagree with it being petty to blow up your stuff after you milled them. It's more petty to get salty about someone playing their instant spells before their draw step causing you to lose the game.

I dislike league more than I like Baumi. I hope he is referencing something else, but I doubt it.
It sounds like baumis is already aware he will lose people on a theme swap. But that’s ok because he will find new people, hopefully. Follow the passion and if you build it, they will come.

😂😂😂 Dota 2 = 3 out of 10... Baimi = the only reason I am here 😅... It's those trolley problem discussions... Ask your viewers why they watch you, 'cause I think you have the wrong idea on why we are here.
