IE Code is required in the following situations
1. When you import goods, IEC Registration is mandatory to clear the shipments from the customs authority
2. For exporters who need to send a consignment to some foreign country, an IEC Registration certificate is compulsory
3. Any Exporter or Importer who is about to receive or send money to a foreign country for business purposes, needs to submit the IE Code certificate.
