Shaykh ibn Uthaymeen was not agree with some lines of poetry where in was said "that the Arabic grammar a long ladder is and difficult is to clime it." The Shaykh response to it by saying that the Arabic grammar easy is....

فإن علم النحو علم شريف ، علم وسيلة ، يتوسل بها إلى شيئين مهمين :
الشيء الأول : فهم كتاب الله وسنة رسوله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - فإن فهمهما يتوقف على معرفة النحو .
والثاني : إقامة اللسان على اللسان العربي ، الذي نزل به كلام الله - عز وجل - ؛ لذلك كان فهم النحو أمرًا مهمًا جدًا ؛ ولكن النحو في أوله صعب وفي آخره سهل ، وقد مثل : ( ببيت من قـَصَبٍ وبابه من حديد ) ، يعني : أنه صعب الدخول ؛ لكن إذا دخلتَ ، سَهُلَ عليك كل شيء ، ولهذا ينبغي للإنسان أن يحرص على تعلم مبادئه ؛ حتى يسهل عليه الباقي ، ولا عبرة بقول من قال : ( إن النحو صعب ) حتى يتخيل الطالب أنه لن يتمكن منه ، فإن هذا ليس بصحيح ؛ ولكن ركـّز على أوله يسهل عليك آخره .
قال بعضهم :
النّحْوُ صَعْبٌ وطَويلٌ سُلَّمُُهُ
إذا ارْتقى فيهِ الذي لا يَفْهَمُهْ
أرادَ أنْ يُعْربَهُ فيُعْجـِمَهْ
وهذا ليس بصحيح ، نحن لا نوافق على هذا ، بل نقول - إن شاء الله - : " النحوُ سهلٌ وسلمُهُ قصيرٌ ، ودرجُهُ سهلة ٌ، تفهمه مِنْ أولِهِ " )) انتهى كلامه رحمه الله .
