OUTtv has far more to offer than this series. This series alone is worth the price. This isn't just gay history, it's American history. These stories are so important.
I’m Gen X, 1967 and I will be forever thankful to the men and women and everyone in between that made my life a better place to be. Brats these days! Lol. That was fantastic!!!! Award worthy.
Thank you OUTtv for this episode as you could not have found any better or the greatest guys in Des Moines Iowa to interview about the history and culture of the LGBTQ Community and the Blazing Saddles which was home for many of us over the years. A big "hay" shout out to all of you guys as you are the best men to know and call "friends" in my life. Miss you all!!!
Here is a good connection between the Stonewall ( nobody ever called it the Stonewall Inn ) and Vietnam. One night when I was there the comedienne Martha Raye arrived with a male entourage. She was dressed in battle fatigues. She was famous for entertaining American troops in various wars, often with Bob Hope. It was obviously a statement for her support for the Vietnam War, support which the gangsters who ran the place likely shared.
So much gay history has been lost to time and AIDS as well. Very sad. Thank goodness for gay folks out there doing their best to preserve what they can.

Should be mandatory viewing for the younger queer generation!
BTW, anyone know the opening song?
Really interesting but I don't know what the title is meant to refer to. Seems a bit random?
There are at least a dozen gay bars in Columbus, Ohio.
❤
Why do women loose there minds in gay bars 😅❤
Because they feel safe. 😢
