Fab cover, just like Ringo and you even emulate his body movement & posture. The drum tuning sounds just like kit on the recording. Quality audio mix & recording. Very fascinating read on the background and kit tuning.
+rhythmantic - Sal D'Amato Hoi sal. Thanks for the comments on all my vids. I appreciate it. I'm really trying to get underneath the sound of Ringo's playing. You'll know what I mean when I say its really not as easy as it sounds. The most interesting part I think is that a lot of what Ringo must be playing doesn't really get heard on the record because of the recording protocol of the day. One or maybe two mics. Low bass drum mix. And of course his left handed playing. I'm playing it as close as I can, on the same kit that he played set up the same as he set it up with a similar mic-ing and leading with the left hand and it sounds really close. So I'm pleased. And its a very revealing process! I did a re-edit of From me to you with just the mic sound and it altered the sound of the fills radically to sound really close to the record. Very revealing. Anyway I've got a downbeat so I think I will move on to some of the late 63 early 64 songs next.I may return to have a look at some more songs from the Premier drum set era later. Yeah I've watched Brad's vids. He needs to stop copying my mistakes!!! Just joking Brad!! His I feel fine is great!! Any way Sal thanks for the comments. What are you going to be doing next. You've covered a lot of tracks?
+MrDrummonkey I'd like to do more complex stuff, such as jazz-fusion and some drum set technique tutorials. Yes, I agree, mix on Ringo's drums, on the early stuff anyway, was hard to pick up many details. I'm recall as a young lad straining to hear what he played on the outro of Long Tall Sally, for example. Keep on drumming, I get notified by YT memo whenever you upload anything.
Great cover! I love that you're playing it on the original Premier kit too! I have a question though: Did Ringo actually play the bass drum on all four beats in the bar on the recording? I know that Ringo would have had one, or at best, two mics to cover all the drums, which is why his bass drum is almost non-existent in the mix, so it's hard to make out. I know there are a few "live" videos on RUclips that show him doing just that, but I wasn't under the impression that he played the bass drum that way in the recordings. Awesome video, definitely the most "authentic" Beatles drum cover I've seen!
I think this is the best cover for this song that I have heard!!

Could you upload a video with no music, just the drum sound?
what drum set are you using?
You look like John Lennon.
