      Until we don’t get the luxury, we are comfortable in our lifestyle, we think we are living in an heaven but as we move forward , our expectations will be more and we wish to get American kitchen , after getting it we wish for luxury fridge and dish washer , then we wish for themes like Instagram, the wishes will never end , he is may be wishing this time only for a solar stove or a burner with gas cylinder , might some good person can help him.

Not to sound like a hippie, but if you think about how for how many thousands of years people have been living like this it makes more sense that it is closest to how we were meant to live. We have too many distractions, and grow up in ways that are unnatural to us. That was wonderful Peer Jan.
    As I watch you prepare everything, it occurs to me that you might find it easier to pour the finished food into your zik with what is called a funnel.
    If you don’t have one, they are easy to make. They are usually made of thin and inexpensive tin. The shape is like a cone with one end having a wide mouth or opening. And the other end of the cone has a small mouth or opening.
    Often, people will make two cones and insert one inside the other so that the large mouth of the smaller cone fits into the smaller mouth of the large cone.
    That way, the very small mouth on the smaller cone fits inside the mouth of the zik. And the large mouth of the bigger cone is where you pour from your pot.
    I hope you understand what I have described.
    Only blessings my friend.

    how different, dates boiled until they are soft and then squeezed to make the liquids inside come out, that is then further reduced by boiling more. interesting. It reminds me of "June" berries turned into a pudding that is then put on fried dough or dipped in like catsup/curry on roti, the only differences to my tribes recipe is sugar, berries and water are boiled until they fall apart and mashed and then reduced a bit longer. indeed I'll have to try out that one. are those Dates perhaps soft dried or are they a special type of Dates? thank you as always for showing us Doshaf, which in my tribe's language Doo-Sha means hello. so perhaps these little desserts will be our dessert hellos. thanks again @Peer Jan Rind.

    This is very similar to fruit "butters" traditionally made in the US from strained apples, pears, or plums, cooked down with sugar (which you certainly wouldn't need with sweet dates) and spices like cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and cloves. It's thick and sweet & keeps well.

    • @magnificent6668
      @magnificent6668 3 года назад +5

      @@Sk1tz092 No, it's cooked down until it's very thick and smooth & the resulting spread is referred to as a "butter". "Jam" is whole, crushed fruits, and "jelly" is the strained juice and both are cooked just long enough for them to "gel" / thicken. The butters cook down for hours, and I'd send out samples of apple butter, if I had an address to send it to!

    Peer's homemade bread is much better than that ultra-processed store-bought bread for sure

      but we Pakistanis dont make such breads in our home traditionally. Our triditional breads are different but these breads are very much common and are easily available at any grocery store and bakery

    Date paste and concentrated date syrup are indeed delicious on bread! I have also used date paste to make a variety of sweet spreads for bread. To get even closer to Nutella, one can add cacao powder and hazelnut butter (it's best to mix it before serving as it doesn't last as long). Nuts and cacao also combine well with date paste to make date balls as a sweet treat :)
