Thanks for the explanation! If we want to write the program for circle detection, then I think for each boundary pixel (x,y), we will be calculating the value of (a,b) by varying r and phi. We will be using nested for loop for varying r and phi. We will also have to fix the resolution of r and phi. Please correct me if I am wrong
Thank you Ma'am for this great explanation....but when I tried this algorithm with canny edge detector... I'm getting mutiple lines when I passed the result of edge derector into houghlinesP....how could I get one line from through this method???

can we aply this for ultra sound images? as those contain noise will this algorithm work for that
