Some of these questions make me appreciate how mundane my life is sometimes.
But on a similar note a friend and I both broke up with our exes this past year, both of them were not progressing as people like we wanted to. Once we broke up with them they realized they were using us as a crutch for happiness and with us gone actually had to improve their lives to feel happy. And now they’re doing much better. It stings since it came at the expense of our patience but if you care for a person sometimes the best thing for them is to let them go

I had a similar experience to Ryan's date. A girl asked if I wanted to come over and hang out watch 90s action b-movies, one of my favorite things ever!
She, her mom (whose house we were at), and myself started watching this movie. Like halfway through, she started yawning super loud and saying she was ready to go lay down. And I said "okay cool!" She "falls asleep", head on my leg. I stay watching the movie. She eventually went to her room and I hang up with her mom all night. She randomly gave me a turtle skull, which was kinda cool. Went to lay down and just passed out.
Woke up the next morning and she acted like cold and I had no clue what was going on. I thought we had a great time. Run into some mutual friends days later and turns out she brought me over just for sex. I'm not that kinda dude. And besides I missed every single cue anyways. I was just stoked to watch action movies!

“I wish I were into them” hits SO hard. Dated a girl for 3 months. On paper it all seemed perfect same likes, independent, and beautiful. I was sadly ignoring my own advice. Liked her more as a person but felt no romantic feeling. Too much seemed good and I wanted it to work. But ignores my lack of feeling to the point my body started rejecting her and I finally had to let her go. Happy to see online she’s found someone who matches her speed and appreciates her.

While I completely agree that you're not responsible for others and you're allowed to cut people off, unless you're afraid of them I think they should always have the talk to end things properly. I was ghosted my my closest ever friend and even though I understand how I became toxic to them, I still have emotional scars and have basically stopped opening up to anyone

In regards to the married guy who feels stuck, one of the factors could be there are married and now his wife is using his health insurance on top of everything to see therapists. Only one more thing that makes divorces messy.

I was so with Alanah on Oppenheimer/Barbie order. Saw Barbie first (loved it, had a great time), but I wanted to feel the weight of Oppenheimer hoped Nolan had me thinking of the truly horrendous things we’ve done.
Nolan didn’t disappoint. Can’t imagine cleansing the pallet after such a poignant movie.
I can't remember if it's from tv or what, but I know there was a "3 date rule" before sleeping with someone... so I would say going on 4 before trying to see if you can be in a committed relationship is more than enough lol. I kinda feel like if it's on an app, you have that talk before the 1st date. Otherwise, you could probably on the 1st or 2nd... but idfk. I've never actually been on a legitimate in-person date.
