Omg finally someone who thought of putting the film in the original packaging! I always used my instax mini film packaging box as a photo frame or to store my pictures
I know I’m a bit late but definitely would buy a set of those storage boxes. There seems to be a real lack of good storage solutions for original Polaroid film not instax
great ideas, thanks for yet another great informative video... also, if anyone in North America is watching and reading, STAPLES is a store where you can buy all sorts of office needs. I found some great plastic boxes with snap on lids to store all sizes of INSAX WIDE, MINI and POLAROID. cheers, look forward to seeing your double exposures architecture video, Cheers, Joe in Toronto Canada
I just use a normal negative binder with negative sleeves for 4"x5" negatives. The Polaroids fit perfectly and you can fit 2 of them (back to back) in one pocket. I prefer plastic sleeves, as you can easily see your picture without taking them out -- it is like an album (well, it actually is an album). Oh -- and here is a tip for all Fuijifilm Instax mini fans: Buy a business card folder/book. I got a cheap Chinese one (real leather bound!) from Am....on, which holds 180 pictures (2 in each pocket).
You gave me a great idea, how to store the ready photos on trips. My friends always had problems where to put their copies which I gave them on mountain tours. I can give them the paper box or the packaging so they could store it safe by the end of the journey. (Until now, I always dropped these into the dustbin at the beginning of the trip.)
I think I have the same camera on that bottom back left shelf. Mine is a Kodak Instamatic X-35, and now that I actually have it in my hand I could be wrong but I love the way that camera looks.
Hi your video are amazing! I have a question... I just bought a polaroid one step close up a vintage one... I Was wonderig if the one step 2 (the new one) take better picture or, if it is, pretty much the same thanks a lot!!!
Many thanks for this amazing video! I have the one step plus and when I take pictures with the manual mode (using the app), the app doesn't allow to make double exposures. Can I use this technique?
On Polaroid's webside it says that they recommend you keep the polaroids in a cool and ventilated space for the first 30 days before storing them in plastic sleeves or boxes. Does anyone have recommendations for where you can store them while they're "drying" the first month? All of these seem like long-term storage.
Late reply but you can just simply store them in a bamboo or shoe box with holes, do it can still breathe but is safe from light. You don't really have to wait that long tho, honestly. I toss my photos into an album personally.
Hello, thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge "all things instant film", Can you please tell me what type or brand of double sided foil tape you used in a previous video. The video is your creative cutting of the images. cheers and keep up the great work...
Thank you, I've been searching here in Palm Springs California but they have limited art supply stores, just the usual (Michaels crafts et et) a common dept. kind of store. I'm Canadian but stay in Palm Springs during the winter months, easy to keep shooting in a warmer climate other than the Toronto winters, lol... keep up the great work, I enjoy everything you've posted and I agree with your RANT a while back... Ignore those negative idiots who write crap... cheers, Joe
I actually use these boxes from Ikea (www.ikea.com/it/it/catalog/products/40222607/) They are bamboo boxes, there are 2 in each pack at 10€, one, the smallest just fit perfectly a polaroid 600 or SX70, and the bigger one in which there's more room. The problem is, and that's what I'm asking you, do I need to cover them? because at the moment they are not covered but I'm afraid that dust can ruin them. What do you think?
Hello i am from Norway and i am about to get the SX-70 camera but i my contrey it is expensive as f for film. So i wonder where do u buy your film ? Over her it is 25$ for one 8 pack film
I’ve been told polaroids and instax pictures will scratch if you place them on top of one another. Is that true? Also will polaroids fade if I hang them on my wall
I don't think the Impossible box you mention is available anymore. I have two of the cardboard boxes that Polaroid Originals currently sells. They aren't that strong, but they are nice quality and archival (acid free). us.polaroidoriginals.com/products/polaroid-photo-box

Would definitely be interested in getting some of those storage boxes if they were being reprinted!
great, hope some more people will join and i can do a reproduction

I would be interested in getting some of those storage boxes as well. Any currently available?
Id love some of those storage boxes for instax wide film
I usually by acid-free polaroid books that hold 80 100, sx70,600 films. They are cool and protective and super cheap on ebay.
Do you have a link? :)
@@kayzelasuncionpelayo2561 Just look up polaroid albums on ebay and they will pop up!

nice, i only knew staples as a brand didn't know they have shops. will try to look it up online
I was just thinking about what to do with my polaroids. Good timing.
And the storage boxes look pretty useful.

Neat heat sealer and cartridge filing ideas 👍

When I shoot Instax mini, I transport mine in a plastic soap container.... 2 for $1 at Dollar store!!! Works perfect.

will be pretty much the same, if you want to step up the quality you need to go to sx-70
Many thanks for this amazing video! I have the one step plus and when I take pictures with the manual mode (using the app), the app doesn't allow to make double exposures. Can I use this technique?

i will look it up, but it was some acid free foil from an art supply shop

5:47 Hahahah "Super Chinese" love it! haha
Those boxes look fantastic
I use tupperware bread containers, plastic and I just toss them in and when it's full, buy another one!!
did you ever restock those storage boxes?
I’d love some storage boxes 📦 how much are they?
i'd have to calculate that again

How about temperature wise?

I really want one of those recyclable pola boxes
This is very important.... thank you
is there a way to experiment with fujifilm instant?
i haven't found any yet :( but as soon as i do i will make a video with it
you can do double exposures but not much else i think :/
Im looking for a tripod to use it with my sx70 or with my SLR680. Would you recommend me one? Many thanks!!
i mostly use manfrotto ones, since these cams are pretty light you dont need a super sturdy one. take a look at the befree series from manfrotto.
@@AnalogThings Thanks!

They fade in bright light so if your room has great window light, yes they will fade over tie like any photo
Oh ja, die Boxen scheinen für meine Bedürfnisse perfekt zu sein. Bin definitiv interessiert! Beste Grüße aus Heidelberg!
Have a good trip
thanks, hope to catch some nice shots with this bad weather forecast
@@AnalogThings 🤞Hope you do 🙂
Great ideas!!!
Very helpful thank you Sir
Has anyone ever 3D printed a box or know of any STL files for one?
nice video again! those boxed do look nice indeed(not the ip/po ones, the other ones XD)
they help alot, till you get to the point of DAMN amount of images
@@AnalogThings damn amount, I think they're not for me anymore then😹😹😜

ja, find auch das es einfach die perfekte verwendung is. vielleicht kann PO ein video dazu machen
Gegen die Plastikfilmboxen spricht für mich allerdings, dass von oben Staub reinfällt.
Btw all the links you posted other then Amazon doesnt work.
I put my best ones on my wall
love it

I use a photo album
I have many from the 90s and they are sticking to each other, be careful.
I use a floppy disc case.
