For anyone wondering why they died and what to do --> They had to protect the Relic(Might be near where the lava golems spawn or near the cracks on the groung near volcano) but the relic got destroyed before the time so they failed the island hunt which made them die Another case where it can be failed is when the volcano pressure reaches 100%. To reduce the pressure we need to damage the orange colour holes/patches on the volacno with Meele, Fruit, Sword and gun skills to keep the pressure down or at least in control. Then after the time runs out and if you have the relic alive and volcano pressure low, bones(large in size) will appear at the crack near the relic(Not sure, bones might spawn on ground on the ground cracks or at the place of relic). Collect those bones by walking over them and trade from Fossil Expert. Leave a like to pass this to more people. 👍
Adding more onto this, The Dragon Eggs which is required for Draco race Comes on the same place near to where Golems spawns/Bones spawn after completing the island. BUT for Dragon eggs to spawn, u will need at least 2 people in that hunt. Note-Only one egg can be taken by per person in a single Prehistoric island hunt, for more egss do Prehistoric island again with 2 or more ppl To take the dragon egg you will need Black belt from dojo trainer.

You shouldn't be swayed by people. The update was the right balance patch right now, so just because people complain doesn't mean you have to reward them for their business restrictions
