My Sis Gina is the main reason I started my very 1st Line Dance Class in 2011 at Caesar’s. She was persistent & said “D you can do this…you’re firm, likeable, bossy & a cutie. Plus everyone will love you.” My 6 week contract in 2011 turned into 8 more classes, and lead me to organizing a group of ladies to dance with Gina Brown at festivals & concerts all over, organizing our very 1st Line Dance Brunch in New Orleans May 2012, teaching at Senior Centers & Fitness Centers, starting my workshop/parties, dancing with other artists, choreographing dances for events & artists, vending Bling Shirts, traveling all over the U.S. teaching & dancing, putting New Orleans Line Dancing on the map, and finally my 1st Line Dance Convention November 2013 which grew from 100 people to well over
600 dancers a year and it’s still going strong 10 years later.
To say, I will miss My Sis Gina is an understatement.
My Fav songs to hear Gina Sing: Love Overboard, Tennessee Whiskey & last but not least “The G-Slide”. I always started and ended my classes with the G-Slide as a tribute to her.
