have you considered making a small tray with a little fence/edges? you could probably make it an add-on to help prevent the grains from flying off the table
Yes actually! They are scattering little bastards on anything but soft fabric, like felt or cotton. Part of the problem is that towers can get quite high (as you can see at 4:16) and when they fall, any barrier would have to extend pretty far to account for the tower's length. I've imagined a few solutions - like perhaps including a neoprene circular mat which extends in a reasonable circumference to deaden them and keep them close by. It's tough, because I want the whole thing to still be able to sit in your pocket. 🤷♂
@@EastPointPictures Maybe like a wide bowl then
@@EastPointPictures My 2 cents. Add 2 cent coins and let them make a circle to catch them. That's a joke, although it does tie in to my idea: Just some little stick-thingies, like little pencils people can put around the playground. That way it's applicable to more shapes plus you can make them quite light and four sticks can easily be added in the bagger? Gives me Switch joy con strap vibes. Mad lads will try to stack the sticks if they have flat ends, which defeats their purpose, especially if they stack them with the sandcubes, but is probably a good thing because they can feel like they break the rules, be creative and impress their friends haha. I recognize more and more Melee in your idea... Whatever the reasons, that's probably a good thing :) Wonder how well Plup would do...
Good luck dude I want to play it.
Random added thoughts:
- Imagine stacking the sticks but horizontally. Starting with a + shape I guess, but also Helicopter pad H-shape into square shape into wtf did YOU just make?!-shape. Otherwise known as the I-have-too-much-time-on-my-hands-shape. All while balancing of course.
- it's kinda like that balancing rocks on each other thing that is going on, but for casuals! Maybe you can do something with that.
- you know those robot cubes that can balance on their corner? Maybe they can stack on top of each other in shit-crazy ways.
I imagined the sticks being basically elongated cubes. Would work very well with your established aesthetic I think.
Again, great stuff.
@@CatinaJacket wide bowl doesn’t fit in ur pocket
This is way cooler than I initially thought it'd be
STACK! IT! UP! STACK! IT! UP! STACK! IT! UP!
Smash bros doc is literally the most underrated doc of all time!! best part is, iv never even played the game lol
wait sandstacking sounds really amazing/fun
set a reminder on the 25th to buy it
THANKS
This is nice! Everyone could do with more games like this to play with eachother that are actually practically small enough to carry around
Upon watching the previous video I just kind of assumed you'd lost your mind, so I'm really glad this actually looks really cool.
between sessions of model train observation, i too enjoy stacking small objects and then sorting them according to color and shape.
I remember you talking about this on stream way back. So cool that you went through with it!!
Here I thought this was going to be a documentary on the competitive history of a teamstyle in pokemon
I don't know if i missed the info by zoning out, but is there any info about pricing? It's not on the website
Thanks Samox I'll definitely be buying one!
This sounds awesome! It would be nice to see an update on this project. Btw, do you ship to Denmark
I didn't get this at first, but now that I'm seeing an example, it looks really addictive.
I always liked to stack random stuff with whatever objects I can find so I’m already sold on this idea
People going on Big Brother should buy these for sure
That looks fun as hell! Definitely checking it out! Also @EastPointPictures - what was the song used in this video? It sounds so peaceful and relaxing
Exceeded my expectations! Excited to buy it for myself :D
I'm 1: 40 in and I'm actually really liking this! :o
I'd think that someone with intense focus would be really good at it. Which kinda translates from/to Melee ofc. As well as dexterity..
Cool!
Hard mode is using chopsticks instead of tweezers
This is great
makes the cubes a bright neon color because so they're easier to find
This actually looks pretty fun, I will buy one when they come out for sure
its interesting, kind of reminds me of something like a zen garden, just something to do almost like meditation
This is sick af
I wanna run 2mm one bag any% tweezerless category.
when i meditate i imagine stacking a big tower of stones so this appeals to me pretty strongly lol
Man it looks like a super good idea!
Ok, this is actually really neat.
This is really cool!
I'm excited to get my hands on this! When I was younger I used to stack golf balls (think I got up to 6).
Is it time yet to release meta game and profit form the ad revenue?
