Wonderful video my friend. I am looking to create ambient spaces with the mother-32 as well and am very much inspired by your work. Is there somewhere you share information about how you patched this or your general process with the synth? Much respect.
this is so cool and beautiful. Thanks for patch! I personally think you should put a stereo reverb on this (instead of mono reverb), would give the song the space it deserves.
Truly amazing soundscape! I'm getting into generative music, and I'm torn between getting one of the Behringer's synths, either Crave (Mother 32 clone) or Neutron, or maybe even Pro-1.. Which one do you think would suit my needs? Thx! :)
@@FUNKINETIK I bought Crave, liked it, but very quickly figured that the patching options are too limited to get any kind of rich sound (don't expect rich bass), so I returned it and got an MS1 (Roland SH101 clone). I'm really satisfied with it! The sound is less squelchy than Crave's, but it's got more different waveforms and a suboscillator, and the sequencer is the same as on Crave, very simple to use. I combine it with Keystep to get two sequences running, basically the Keystep sequence transposes the MS1's sequence, so I get harmonic progressions. I still want to try out the Pro-1, though, just to satisfy my curiosity. Point is, the patching thing looks cool, but is not always necessary to get what you need!
I just purchased a M32 due in part to the midi capabilities in use with a DAW. I don’t have it yet...So my 2c worth. I have a USB to converter box. Easy to use. Plug in the USB to your computer. Then get a 13 pin midi cable. Attach the midi out of the converter to the input on the M32. My PC identifies the box quickly. I use Cubase but it should work with Logic. Create a midi track in Logic. Assign the midi channel in Logic as it needs to be the same as the M32. The converter boxes can be had for ~$50. On the audio side, it appears for me any way, a 1/8” to 1/4” cable (or what ever you audio input is). Create a mono audio track in Logic assigned to that input. In Cubase I’m going to have a mono in, with stereo out so I can have stereo effects. That’s about it. Like I said, mine hasn’t arrived yet, but just looking at the vids on RUclips this configuration should open up a whole new world.
Everything you hear comes out of the mother32. The large amount of reverb is making each note sound longer. So it's not a backing track, it's just the previous notes processed by the effect. Cheers!
Awesome patch man! I am having some issues with patching the random into tempo. After the first few triggers, the sequence just stops for some reason. If I move the tempo knob it will retrigger a few times again then just completely stop again. Any tips?

Two questions, if you don't mind a look behind the curtain: how are you doing the swell in effect, and how are you doing the secondary voices? Is there another sound source playing?
