  • A short video today to give you a dose of hope and encouragement. I know many of us creatives and small business owners are experiencing a decline in our business this year. If you really want to build work life around your creativity, don't let a recession stop you. If anything, the world needs more of us who persevere in the things that matter, when the going gets tough.

      @@EasySundayClub we are doing good. Still working on my art and figuring out how to use photoshop🤣. Just losing an inordinant amount of hair, I think from *the thing", but taking zinc and biotin I think is helping. I hope everyone at home there has been able to stay well!!!

    Thank you so much! This was just piece of advice I needed now as I am getting started with my art website with a lot of ifs and buts and thoughts of pushing it to later. I have never posted a comment on RUclips but I just had to thank you today. And ofcrs for all the practical advice you give in your other videos too!

    Thank you so much for doing these videos! I subscribed a few years ago, and your advice has helped me tremendously on the business side of doing art. I was wondering how you sign prints of your original paintings. I've read that signing a print on the bottom with pencil is the correct way to sign limited edition prints. I find that it somehow detracts from the art itself. I edit my signature out of the painting after I scan it and then sign and date the print on the back. However, people then can't see who the artist is. Also, do you have your signature on your greeting cards and merchandise? Really looking forward to hearing what you do. Very much appreciate your channel!

      Hi! I don’t have signature on my greeting cards and other merch. For prints, I’ve scanned my signature and saved it as PNG to insert into the bottom left corner of my prints. I scan my original painting first before signing, but your way of editing the signature out afterwards works too. The only exception is my limited edition prints where I actually hand sign each print.

    aww Cathy I just love your encouraging videos! I'm curious, are your wholesale orders up because you've branched out from Faire?

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  Год назад

      They have! The commissions on other wholesale sites are more favorable than Faire. I'm also on Trada and just joined Juniper Market (so nothing yet).

    This was extremely helpful !!~ I was just wondering as well would a business license be required to do wholesale btw?

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  Год назад

      Your state may require you to have a seller’s permit and/or business license to conduct any kind of retail or wholesale business. I’m in CA and had to get one. Check with your CPA on that.

    Hi! In one of your older videos about taking courses and coaching you mentioned something that was profound to me and that I felt similar about. You said that a lot of the times we don’t need those things and is likely we didn’t try to work it out / figure out ourselves first. But as an artist how do you feel when it comes to investing in paid online communities for support? What’s experience or perspective on this?

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  Год назад +2

      Thanks for this great question! I have joined online communities before and see the value in those. However, I would recommend finding out if the members are at similar stage of business or share similar goals as you. For example: I joined a small business community but most other members were service based businesses, or I joined an art community but most were hobbyists. I think asking these questions will help you evaluate these communities more as they will greatly impact what you can get out of it. And don’t always take the community host’s word for it. If they offer a trial period, even better.

      @UnbrandedLifestyle Год назад

      @@EasySundayClub thank you so much for your reply! What you say makes sense, I’m just not sure if there’s a ton of value in online communities (paid)to be worth investing into again. I have been in a couple filled with lots of resources and recorded zoom videos etc but because it’s billed monthly, and I can’t always be there to watch live videos or consume everything cause I’m working on my art I feel like it’s a waste of money to stay. Maybe I need to be further along or just need to take a break. 😌

    I have a question.. I got a new epson p900, and for some reason when I print on A2 sized greeting cards, it prints black specs on the very edges of the card top and bottom. It's driving me crazy. Lol. Do you know a fix to this?
