The sides of my bumper came loose and were flapping in the wind. Auto body shop put a new one on. In two days the sides came off again. The auto body guys ordered genuine Toyota bumper and reinstalled the bumper. It was okay for about 8 months. Then while driving on a windy afternoon in the middle of nowhere Montana, both sides of the bumper started flapping in the wind. You know what? It is really hard to find any stores open on a Sunday in the middle of nowhere Montana. After limping along at 50 mph I finally found a gas station that was open and bought some duct tape. ANYWAY, how can the auto body guys fix this so it stays fixed?????
It's probably not the bumper, but the two retaining clips, one on each side that are missing bits? Also, when you put the bumper on, you have to be very careful with all the tabs and clips. They can be easily bent under and not clipping in. Like the guy said in the video, you might need to thump it a but with the soft part of the palm of your hand. But really, they should snap into place easily. If they aren't snapping, you probably are redirecting a tab or clip to the wrong place.
Good video! I have the same Issue with the bumper coming lose on the rear sides, I think the clips have cracked or broken at some stage and not holding it fully, but getting replacements seems to be a bit of a pain! :(

You could maybe put some silicone glue under that area to help it stick.

Hey I found a 2014 Yaris rear bumper, can I use that for my 2012 Yaris one?
Yes you can use the 2014 on a 2012 because they're the same generation.
