"Time will tell if moving to the KYB air fork was a move in the right direction"
Fuck that. I want to know it from YOU, right NOW. That is why you tested the damn thing. Or was the test rider not good enough to be able to give an assessment?

+boarder989 Wave of the future, eventually all bikes on and offroad will have this. Just wait until throttle maps, TC, and cornering ABS come to the dirt. You may not like it, but it is a better design than old fashioned metal springs. Just like aluminum frames, you're better off adapting and learning how to use it than never progressing.

+Ryan McIntyre There's, been alot of "wave of the future" tech that has never quite made the cut. Air may be the future, but not as it sits right now. Also ktm is proving chromemoly kicks the crap out of aluminum, get with the times

Actually, there was an article in Cycle World and KTM discussed their use of cromo frames, it has everything to do with faster prototyping and cheaper manufacturing and nothing to do with metal superiority. Even they admitted aluminum had every advantage over steel.
