    Oh just realized as I was about to sleep and wake up in a few hours for day 1 of leagues, an easy way to avoid the dps check while 3-tick shadowing and briefly stepping into the other quadrant, is to do what's shown in this clip I just recorded streamable.com/ulouum that way you never step into the other quadrant and don't need to waste ticks like I showed in the guide. Wish I thought of this sooner but gotta get some sleep before the long 1st day of leagues lol.

    Edit: I updated the tiles with a better starting tile. The start tile (1) is different from what's shown in the video, but it's much better for setting up on after Simon Says attack and during a shadow transition. When swapping sides, run to tile 1 or 2 and start the cycle from there.
    Ok, for anyone who really just wants a specific set of tiles to stand on, I've set up colour coded tiles for the 2.25t (aka 18/8 for 8 attacks every 18 ticks) and for the 2.42t method (this is 17/7 because you skip 1 attack).
    These are colour coded (grey for NE, yellow for SE, cyan for SW and red for NW) and numbered 1-8. If Akkha is

    So if 5t anients becomes 2t. Do i still need to manual cast ancients to three tick.
    I'm not 100% sure on what makes autocasting bad per se, so i may be wrong. But i thought it added 1t before the first attack. So if it goes from 2 to 3t and the cycle is 3t that should be okay right?

    • @user-pr6zj9du9t

    • @Undefined14
      @Undefined14 7 месяцев назад +1

      Nobody answered your question super well, so I'll try to explain a bit better. Tick 1, you're moving. Tick 2, you're moving. Tick 3, if you try to auto cast, you'll be standing there doing nothing, and the attack will happen on tick 4 (6,8,10, etc). If you manually cast, use a powered staff, or any other combat style, your first attack will be on tick 3. So you're free to move again on tick 4.

      @@Undefined14 yeah i posted this before the league. Since then i had some experience with it all.
      I guess what initially confused me is how this would be different from a regular 3t attack but I hadn't considered the part where you are forced to stand still.

      @@Undefined14 "no because you'll be standing still and akkha wil reach you" explains this pretty simply without a mountain of text for nothing...

      Can’t attack and move on the same tick in osrs. Interestingly I’ve heard of private servers where you can though

    • @Undefined14
      @Undefined14 7 месяцев назад

      @@eponym7783Not true. Woox walking is an example. If you've clicked to attack, and you're not in range, you'll attack on the tick you arrive in range. So if you can get in range in one tick, you move and attack in the same tick.

    • @eponym7783
      @eponym7783 6 месяцев назад

      @@Undefined14 only seen your comment now but yea this is something that occurred to me as well. i figured being out of range within 'same tick' distance (ie 1 or 2 tiles when running) is the only way it's possible, which still means there's no way to 1t bf or the like

  • @Zxv975

    If we're getting this complex with the cycles then I feel like the notation can be altered. I'd rather use something such as:
    18/8 for 2.25t
    17/7 for 2.42t
    16/6 for 2.66t
    This seems a lot clearer to me. The decimals don't give information for the whole cycle whereas the unsimplified fractions do. 5.33t Xarpus would also be 16/3, where you're attacking 3 times every 16 ticks (every 4 Xarpus turns).
    The advantage of the current notation is that it makes comparing relative DPS of the methods easier though, so both have their merits.

    • @nagoshi01
      @nagoshi01 7 месяцев назад +2

      I first assumed that 2.42 was a rounding of 2.41666, I assumed the .41666 part came from 1/2.4
      I was really confused by that idea - so yeah I think better notation would be great to avoid future nerds some pain

    2.25, 2.42, 2.46, 2.fuckingSweaty. Also, adding decimal places to the methods adds nothing.

    • @eponym7783
      @eponym7783 7 месяцев назад

      Wym it adds nothing, it describes attach speed. If you were to have a weapon that alternated a 2t with a 3t speed, you’d effectively be on a 2.5t cycle, for example. Also see stuff like 1.5t teaks. It’s a 3t cycle where every cut is a double roll, hence 1.5t
