You can use the green shade to blend itself out... I don't know if that makes sense. But working with her mattes, I can always blend one shade out but then build it up on itself in the deeper parts to give depth. Her mattes are super user friendly.
Agreed. More than any other matte formula I’ve tried, sheering out a Pat McGrath matte performs as a lighter shade of the same color rather than a patchy version. I personally would have buffed in the green sheerly on the upper crease and then built the dark green up in the crease and blended them together with a clean brush.
I just love how the palette is broken up if you turn it sideways it's 3 6 pan color stories combined. I personally would have just liked them to be separated, and not in an 18 pan format. 🙏🏼🥰

Pat usually only does the “special shades” in her 10 pan, 125$ USD, Mothership palettes, that she usually only releases one per year, and she had some limited edition quads, that contained the “special shades” a couple years back.
I passed on this one. Just not my color story these days. But I did order the bronze bliss quint. I used my palette from her holiday last year today. Still gorgeous

I have both of her other Holiday Mothership Palettes and the first one has quite a few multichromes in it and the second one has a few special shade formulas so maybe this ne is more made to be an addition to the first 2 in the way that this one has colorful mattes and colorful shimmers. The first two barely have any mattes at all.
I absolutely LOVE that red, blue, and green you used! But I do agree cause I thought the other big palettes were $75 so I thought this one would have something a little extra with the shadows being that it was her first colorful one. But you still did some really pretty looks!

I love that Pat tried something different for the brand. The price is too steep though and above what I am willing to pay, if it goes down to around 70 US dollars maybe I'll reconsider. I am also waiting for other brands to release their holiday palettes, so I can choose one or two and then I am set for this year's makeup spending. :)

Love the fact that she included colourful mattes. For me personally it would have been absolute perfection if she replaced the gold and the bronze shimmer with a light green shimmer and a lilac, so that you can create more fun colourful looks in combination with the mattes in the palette. I feel this was a missed opportunity, there are too many gold toned shimmers. So although I really like the palette overall, I am debating whether I will buy it (I have also become more critical of my own purchases in order to slow down my makeup spending and be more mindful)😊

You spoke my mind about this palette, just one special shadow would make this worth, specialy for people who can't afford any of her expensive mothership palettes but having just one of the little more special formulas in this 'more affordable' (cough cough;D) palette would make a lot more people interested in trying the brand. I would looove to try her formula, but never was able to justify the price , if this would have more interresting shimmers I would get it, because the mattes look really amazing, but not for that price tag.

TBH, when i saw this palette (and last year's palette that was this same format), it just reminds me of Revolution. Chaotic, random color story/placement with ostentatious outer packaging. It just doesn't read high-end at all.

I think that The Hela Palette + rhis Pat one can be the best 2022 combo. I have no proof but neither doubt. I was not going to get this one but after this thought I really need to try. Yo can go in every direction - including neutral- with a lot of different textures, I'll try to wait until is on sale though.

I originally got this on launch day and was super excited.. then I saw reviews and got it in person… needless to say I think it’s a beautiful palette but feel it’s just okay. I couldn’t justify the price tag on an okay palette so I am return unfortunately. Maybe I’ll pick it up during a Black Friday sale but I personally don’t think it’s work the $82 price tag. I’m more excited for the 5 pan palettes 😊

I would looove to try her formula, but never was able to justify the price , if this would have more interresting shimmers I would get it, because the mattes look really amazing, but not for that price tag.

I think the idea is she reserves her “special shades” for the palettes that cost $170 Canadian. I believe Christmas is a time to purchase her shadows at a lower price point. But I get what you’re saying! Makes a lot of sense😊

TBH, when i saw this palette (and last year's palette that was this same format), it just reminds me of Revolution. Chaotic, random color story/placement with ostentatious outer packaging. It just doesn't read high-end at all.

I won’t be getting this.. there are a few shades I love, but I have so many amazing palettes.. I own a lot of PML Motherships.. love the formulas.
But I’m tired of the bronzes, oranges and reds.

I think that The Hela Palette + rhis Pat one can be the best 2022 combo. I have no proof but neither doubt. I was not going to get this one but after this thought I really need to try. Yo can go in every direction - including neutral- with a lot of different textures, I'll try to wait until is on sale though.

Thank you for the setting spray tip! I want to find a good cheap one just for shimmer shadows, but I haven't really known what to get. I will definitely look for something with glycerin! Also, love the looks; that blue/green/gold is so sultry and sexy!!
Water works good also just get a little cheap spray bottle and put water in it
I originally got this on launch day and was super excited.. then I saw reviews and got it in person… needless to say I think it’s a beautiful palette but feel it’s just okay. I couldn’t justify the price tag on an okay palette so I am return unfortunately. Maybe I’ll pick it up during a Black Friday sale but I personally don’t think it’s work the $82 price tag. I’m more excited for the 5 pan palettes 😊
