I've been riding with Eminem since 1997 when I seen him battle in Cincinatti Ohio at Scribble Jam when he came in second (He should've fucking won) I was only 9, my step dad took me, I was FASCINATED because I've always loved rap but seeing this guy with the same skin color as me, gave me the motivation to go make friends in my neighborhood because we CAN be accepted no matter how different (I grew up in a 95% black community and didn't have any friends when we moved there when I was 4) well I stepped out, made friends that are still friends to this day! My step-dad who introduced me to Eminem was shot and killed coming home from the store on December 24th, 2000...yeah Christmas Eve, and the ONLY thing that got me through that was The Marshall Mathers LP, SSLP, then Eminem Show a few months later... My mom worked two jobs, was barely home, step dad was dead, my family disowned me and my mom because we moved to the "Ghetto" and my mom had gotten engaged to a black guy, and my real dad was, like Marshall, M.I.A. since I was around 7 months old.. the day that Eminem passes away is the day that will be the worst day of my life..I'm doing good now but still to this day when things get hard or bad, I still throw in an Eminem album and I remember that Eminem fought his ass off and continues to do so and we have eerily similar backgrounds and he gives me proof that no matter how fucked up my life has been, as long as I work hard, bust my ass, and never give up then I'll be fine... I honestly hope that I'm long gone before Eminen passes because Eminem and his music literally raised me and it would hurt like fucking hell!! Oh and to the haters,y'all can suck our dicks while we're puking!!! True Shady fans know what that's from! Lol

Phenomenal is one of MANYYYYY of my favorite Eminem songs..its so real life and inspiring...even though its an older song I still listen to it...I go to sleep with it playing in my ear...for true.
