Yes please check that one out. I love the original lap of the gods, but they reved it up at Wembley and it was off the chain!! You will love it. They show a short clip of Freddie on the keys and his fingers are moving so fast...they are nothing but a blur!
With Freddie his vocals kept getting better as he aged. Usually singers blow out their voice. Not that Freddie didn't have throat issues while on their mega tours, but he really honed his talent.
If you want to hear Freddie play, I mean really play, check out "White Queen" 1975 a night at the Odeon Hammersmith! Freddie's piano playing sings to Brian's guitar playing! It's absolutely amazing! 👑👍
This is “In the Lap of the Gods Revisited” not the “In the Lap of The Gods”....please do the other one! 🙏🏻 Live at the Rainbow 1974 (fixed my error, lol) 2 different songs with similar names 🤗
Enjoyed your reaction to this and other Queen songs. Such an iconic band. For a different version please react to In the Lap of the Gods live at the Rainbow 1974.
It is at the Rainbow, it is part of a medley, the whole medley is great. Medley live at the Rainbow 1974 ruclips.net/video/LQqHZb1b__w/видео.html. Medley includes In The Lap Of The Gods/ Killer Queen/ March Of The Black Queen/ Bring Back That Leroy Brown. The whole medley is far better then just the one song, the performance is somewhat short if you only do the first song of the medley.
Please do In the Lap of the Gods live at the Rainbow. This is the revisited one which is just as good, but different. The first one features some incredible backing vocals from Roger. I love Rrrrisky Freddie
Instead of just doing In the Lap of The Gods, that performance is part of a great medley, I don't why no one ever asks for the whole medley. In The Lap Of The Gods/ Killer Queen/ March Of The Black Queen/ Bring Back That Leroy Brown - Medley live at the Rainbow 1974 ruclips.net/video/LQqHZb1b__w/видео.html
Ohhhhh yes, my darling, you're a good boy 😍 Amazing one, as all of Queen (those 4 amazing guys, that band made in heaven). Go, Freddie, go!!! The true and the only King of Queen 👑👑👑👑💖💖💖💖
I love both of the Lap of the Gods songs. Beautiful song. Freddie sounds great and this is at the end of this show so he has been singing for 2 hours at this point.
I love that I have been a Queen nut for over 35 years and have seen and heard it all countless times... Yet I can still be absolutely amazed by their performances, notably Freddie in this case as that was just one of his best right there.* *Quick note to say that, yes, I know that there are many many many 'best' performances by Freddie. Doesn't make any of them less the best!
I love this version cuz Freddie looks so intense & gorgeous!! Awwww man! I’m melting when I watch this version! 🎼🎼”Thank You & Merry Xmas”🎼🎼🎼. Queen really shows love to their fans!! 💕 How about ACTION THIS DAY live in Milton Keynes 1982 .... I think you’ll like the beat!!
A few people have said it but the medley with this song and seven seas of rhye from Wembley 1986 is brilliant and you will especially love what he does with the piano and crowd reaction. It’s a must my man
Hey sweet guy, Roger's extremely high falsetto is on the video; "Queen Live At The Rainbow, (1974) In the Lap of the Gods" I think it's a better arrangement too. I am having a blast watching your Queen reactions. The Queen Army will migrate to your site as they find it. Good luck on 10,000 subscribers.
This was awesome, but it would have been better to do live at the Rainbow in 1974! They never did it again. The other versions were "In the Lap of the Gods revisited". The one at the rainbow is a "one off" and showcases Roger's amazing vocal range. Please do it! I promise its' different and worth doing!!!!!!
Fantastic! While audience participation officially made itself known and was cemented with "we will rock you", the seeds were planted with "lap of the gods revisited". Most of Freddie and Brian's costumes in their early days (mostly the angel wing tunics) were designed by Zandra Rhodes!
It comes with being passionate, and by extension aspiring to be a professional: You climbed to the top of the mountain... only to gaze upon the entire mountain range spanning all the land under the big blue sky. And you feel even smaller. Conversely, you've climbed high up the mountain, but the peak that you see is still a long way. Freddie is probably comparing himself to classically trained piano virtuosi, which would make a lot of sense; those people are absolutely beastly in their instrument of choice. I personally play the violin, and I can relate when watching true masters of the craft; it's like staring at an entirely different world from the periphery, even as others enjoy or even praise what ability you have. Nonetheless, we all still love Freddie to bits. RIP.
Freddie Mercury will always remain the King of Queen. Best rockstar ever, he is a gift. However, another singer is walking along his lines and his name is Dimash Kudaibergen, he is a singer from Kazakhstan. Freddie would have been very proud of Dimash, had the former still been alive. I would suggest you should check out Dimash Kudaibergen.
Bold of you to think you know what Freddie would have been proud of:) In his life Freddie's favorite singers were only women - Aretha Franklin and Montserrat Caballe. He wasn't even a fan of Pavarotti you think he would care about Dimash?
@@janematthews3394 I said it in terms of their vocal abilities, classical backgrounds and their vocal ranges and how much power they have in their voices, which are pretty similar. I wouldn't really comment on his gender preferences, it's a free world and everybody has their right and freedom on that. Probably he wouldn't have adored Dimash as he is not a woman but would have definitely acknowledged his vocal abilities for sure. If not optimistically as a critique then surely as a Dimash hater but he would most certainly have acknowledged.
That medley : In the Lap of the Gods-Seven seas of rhye-tear it up at Wembley 1986 is my fave i can watch it over and over😅
Yes please check that one out. I love the original lap of the gods, but they reved it up at Wembley and it was off the chain!! You will love it. They show a short clip of Freddie on the keys and his fingers are moving so fast...they are nothing but a blur!
I vote for Wembley, too!
@@kelleeholmes9448 and Freddie thought he was a mediocre piano player

Did y’all realize that was the last song? After more than 3 hours his voice still rock it! Fu... legend
That song rocks ! Artist at work ! Freddie is amazing 🤩
Yes Queen! 👏🏻 Please react Queen "a kind of magic" LIVE in wembley 1986
If you want to hear Freddie play, I mean really play, check out "White Queen" 1975 a night at the Odeon Hammersmith! Freddie's piano playing sings to Brian's guitar playing! It's absolutely amazing! 👑👍

Yeeessssss that was at wembley right?

Yes please do the other In The Lap of The Gods (not the revisited one) from The Rainbow 1974 2 songs same name completely different
Man you should react some live At the Rainbow 1974, in that live freddie’s voice was literally perfection
Please do In the Lap of the Gods live at the Rainbow. This is the revisited one which is just as good, but different. The first one features some incredible backing vocals from Roger. I love Rrrrisky Freddie
There’s a revisited part to this song. In the lap of the gods live at the rainbow 1974. Insane falsetto by Roger!!
This *is* the Revisited version! The original “In the Lap of the Gods” is the one with Roger’s falsetto 🤗

I don ´ t know why, but I love this song so much 💕
Try IN THE LAP OF THE GODS at the Rainbow .....EPIC
I love this version, it’s the end of this concert and Freddie is still singing with so much passion I love the way he did this!
I love both of the Lap of the Gods songs. Beautiful song. Freddie sounds great and this is at the end of this show so he has been singing for 2 hours at this point.
This was their fist audience participation song. They intended the crowd to sing the Whoa, whoa, la,la,la part!

They did an encore after this..Elvis jailhouse rock
With interesting inflatables being dropped in the audience lol

Wo Wo La La la La (repeat)
Fun fact: freddie didn't think he was a very good piano player, even tho he could play virtually anything
@Tabitha T Magee It’s just another measure of the man Freddie was isn’t it? He never perceived himself to be as good as everyone else did.
