Solo Grandmaster Nightfall "Birthplace of the Vile" with Thorn - Strand Warlock - Destiny 2

Solo completion of Grandmaster Nightfall Birthplace of the Vile with Thorn and Necrotic Grip on Strand Warlock - Solo GM - Solo Nightfall - Gilded Conqueror - Thorn - Necrotic Grip - Platinum Rank - Strand Warlock - Season of the Wish - Destiny 2 Lightfall.
For the second clear of the week I decided to give Thorn a go on Strand Warlock with Necrotic Grip. In fact, it is a very powerful combination with good damage potential both for add clear and for boss passive damage through poison. The only downside of Thorn is its tiny magazine size and slow reload speed. Collecting Souls help with that though! Strand Warlock is a also a strong subclass, however I am always puzzled by Needlestorm Super, it feels really underwhelming. The most difficult part of this NF is the Boss Room, and doing it without any form of restoration is much less safer compared to using Solar subclasses.
Other than that, I have a Solar Autorifle (Abyss Defiant) with Reconstruction and Target Lock to deal with Overload Champions while saving rockets. Lastly, I have a Solar Rocket Launcher (Apex Predator) to finish the bigger targets off. Honestly, I would love to use some different heavy weapon but overload options are not great this season, and having a rocket that can instantly destroy overload champions is a must in the boss room.
