Man achieving 100k dollar in Serbia in 2 years puts you in top 1% and its only part time, incredible work man, also kudos to our balkan countries and life expenses 😎
Search his name on Upwork for talent. It doesn't even exist so this whole story is a bunch of BS, and he doesn't even have a UW account. If he did you would be able to find him as we all have to submit passport details
Amazing Milan, this is so helpful, I am trying to start freelancing, and this is the content which help us to achieve something really valuable, thanks !
$100k over 2062 hours = $48/hr, what was your median per job? I know you shared your profile at $150/hr, but how many jobs actually fall in that range?
I had one job with the majority of hours, at like ~$45-ish. Long term engagement for a client. Since then, I moved it up to $150 and focused on consulting or smaller higher-paying jobs.
It must be really hard , working in a full time job and doing freelancing as a side hustle. Did you worked on weekends mostly or after your working hours ? I think having a social presence on LinkedIn and youtube also has to do enough with landing him the job as most of the people do not have such strong social presence.
Not gonna lie, i sometime felt bad seeing some of your "advices" more than a year ago. (The shorts especially). Because i always thought things could be missenterpreted. Howerver, since then things has changed. Good job on actually providing better content that my eyes finally kinda like seeing.
I can tell you a never had a "bad" intent with any content. Most of it was me being unaware some things could be taken the wrong way. But hey, you live, you learn.
How do you maintain energy....we normally get exhausted after work..😊 But indeed this is a valuable information about freelancing....pls continue doing this video's 😊
Milan , thank you for great video. I'm curious to know, are you currently doing any freelancing or is content creation your only source of income? Also would you say that freelancing takes more or less time than regular 9-5 ?
Slowly stopped freelancing when I went full time into the content business. While freelancing, I could make my monthly wage as a senior engineer in Serbia in half the work hours. The tough part is finding work. Lots of competition these days.
Such a great video Milan!! What I think is that to apply to these freelance jobs you need to have some job experience before. It must be pretty difficult to persons that don't have some years of experience to get this jobs, but hopefully in the future it will be more possible. Thank you so much for bringing up this topic on this video! Keep up the good work
This was a really valuable video in my opinion. I would love to see you create some more general career advice around salaried job-hunting as well, although there might be some overlap I still think it would be valuable.
You said that in this full time job you have had up to the end of 2022 you were a software architect. However your Upwork profile description says you have 7 years of experience, so in the end of 2022 you had
"I understand some people might be smarter or work harder but still." - exactly... "The one thing we cannot leapfrog is time." - I also went to a 5 years university before that, which isn't a waste of time either in terms of knowledge. "It's just impossible to become architect in such relatively short time." - I tend to disagree. Hard. But not impossible. "Are you sure you were the software architect or maybe a software architect as understood by this company?" - what does it matter, really? Titles aren't that important to me. It's the responsibilities and impact that matters.
@@MilanJovanovicTech thank you for your response. With my comment, besides sharing my POV, I also wanted to challenge you and I'm happy to see you answered peacefully rather than offensively. Best

That's awesome, @Milan. Do you think your personal branding and content writing on LinkedIn especially plays an important role in your freelancing success.?
That's great. I did only one job on upwork 4 years ago with $300. After that, I do not find further. I realised there are fewer jobs for .net and .net is not good for freelancing.
this was interesting, i was trying to do the same thing few year ago but was quickly discouraged not knowing how the whole thing works and by plenty of not to great offers

What was your skill level when you failed the first time, and when you succeeded the second time? (Junior/Senior)?
Junior-Mid when I failed. Mid-Senior when I made it. I'd say I was lacking more on the communication skills side, rather than on the technical side.
