      Jordan Brown that seems like you didn't spend much time developing each song in the album then. Most singer's spend at least a year or more working on an album so that they can really make each song the best it can be

    I never found a song that I could vibe with until I listened to Growing Pains. Being a college kid and going through the pains of growing is just one reason why I love Growing Pains. Yeah there's your typical pop songs that appears on the radio everyday, which granted I listen to just like everyone else. I love this album because it's got a message for people in this generation. Many artists have done it before but yet do we still talk about them to this day? Sometimes yes and no. But I think Alessia is one artists that we should all be thankful for because yeah she's a millennial but she's got a message for all of us to hear and I think Pains of Growing just shows us that it's ok to feel pain while growing. I love you Alessia. Keep spreading this message because everyone should be hearing what it is.

      Kuja's Spirit it’s sad at the same time because a lot of reviewers don’t give her the time of day, calling her boring and uninteresting. Ha! What bullshit that is 😂😂 Alessia is one of the more raw and organic artists we’ve had in a long ass time

    This girl won a grammy for best new Artist people. And all they care is that she‘s wearing an oversized suit?! What the f* is wrong with them?! Alessia is honestly such a huge inspiration and role model, and talented as hell. We need more of these artists in this generation! I‘m hopeful, we will become more and more tolerant and kindhearted.

    • @lapisyellowchoker3692
      @lapisyellowchoker3692 5 лет назад +2

      TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! And in fact I love her suit and the symbolism behind.
      Singers are singers, not supermodels, and we should focus more on their songs instead of what they wear.
      You haters out there should feel damn lucky that Alessia didn't despise you for the bullsh*t you said, because she doesn't even f*#@king care (Listen to Girl Next Door by Alessia Cara)

    • @ainsleynewell5025
      @ainsleynewell5025 5 лет назад +2

      Ikr and the oversized suit has a meaning behind it that people should open their eyes and see. I think it kind of represents how she's growing and so many things are changing in her life and she has all of these new responsibilities that are hard to feel ready for

    All We Know is my favorite because you really have to think about that one. Growing up means all the important things change. “Saint Nick don’t exist anymore” and “Heroes fall like dominoes” are the perfect representations of that. As a small child, you are a part of a small world run by you. All of a sudden, you really realize that you are a part of a huge, beautiful and yet corrupted world. The fictional characters you once loved are mere memories, and the real people you idolized, were not as perfect as you thought. This song is perfect for me because I’m not a grown-up, but I’m growing up. I’m realizing just how much I don’t know, and how much I’ll never know. And all I know is that I don’t.

    I honestly don't care what she looks like (but she is very beautiful) and I love her fashion and her songs. She is my biggest role model. She talks about real problems and things *I* can relate to, she dresses how she wants, she sings about what she wants, and she sings about things she think people can relate to. She try's to help people and that's a great thing. I think she's a very good role model for me and a lot of other people😊

    • @lapisyellowchoker3692
      @lapisyellowchoker3692 5 лет назад +2

      She has been a very inspirational role model to many of us.
      Hopefully she will become more known by people, especially when her songs are always relatable to our life.
      (Might be wrong, but she is still a bit underrated...maybe just in the case of Hong Kong)

    Thank you for breaking down the album track-by-track. I love when artist talk about the story and inspiration behind why they wrote a song. But mostly I just want to say thank you for this album Alessia. It's beautiful, moving, fun, heart rending and tearjerking at times, but ultimately just an incredible body of work. You can really see your growth as a person and artist and I'm grateful that you've shared it with us all. This music has been a sincere help to me in my life. Keep being amazing!

    Thank you for just existing!!!!! I know it will go away ( the growing pains ) but it doesn't and I feel like that right now. I reached out and everybody just blew it away (My feelings) and that hurt even more. Right now I don't even have friends and my school sucks. I sound like a total teenager but even my mom hates my school, and I will be changing schools next year. Your songs have helped me since I heard them for the first time. 'Here' made me think of why I hung out with people that didn't really feel like they were my friends or why I even bothered being there with them because I knew they kinda didn't like me. And the 'pains of growing' is helping me survive high school without friends. So just thank you.

    i’m far from a pop listener (i’m a die-hard hiphop head), but this is one of my favorite albums ever made. the shit said here is real. it’s relatable as fuck too, i’m feeling a lot of this at 18.
    i’m an artist. there’s 5 big artists i look at for inspiration: yasiin, pac, nas, q-tip, and her. the visionary aspect, the realness about keeping music art rather than just capitalistic gain, and the ideological aspect. i’ve been listening to her since i started writing, and i love everything about her music.

    YES ALESSIA!!! One of the few artists these days that has a universal theme. Her songs give us such an incredible eye-opening moment and we can realize that, though we are all different, we're all in this together. :)

    I just finished watching te video, I thought it was super interesting. Alessia probably won´t read this, but I hope she never forgets how important she is for doing what she´s doing and making her statements. She sure makes me feel less weird and alone in this world, because I know someone views it in a similar way. Keep doing what you´re doing!
