If you do as you say wont you be effectively adding raw linseed oil to the paint next time you apply the next coat which will upset the paint composition and cause it to fail ie. Bubble and peel off? Is a better way to clean brushes in white spirit ,water and dry then use for the next coat ? This is an important question as i have had linseed paint fail when doing as you suggest here.

Will the linseed oil , when exposed to the air, not crust over on the top ?
Do you think he lighter colors will yellow a bit over time?
