My Nigerian roommate also said the same thing. His black friends told him" why do you like electronic music that not what we are supposed to listen to" or something along those lines. I can't believe some races try to keep a sense of purity by omitting certain music from their ears. W/E it's electronic music everyone is welcome who ever wants to. Same goes with any genres for the most part.
This was and still one of the best and pure "Underground" eletronic albums to be ever created. Originality and the energy from every song is just so refreshing. Boys noize was outstanding among his peers at time. its sad that the electronic scene took a drive into obscurity and/or making music for the masses which is bascally easily digestible music that's generic.
I have that same feeling. I was in my 20s during the 2000s and was heavily into the rave and festival scene. I loved music like this, it was great for peak hours and really kept everyone dancing. I got myself into some legal trouble circa 2010 or so and fell out of partying. I've tried listening to current electronic music recently and have to go back to stuff I'm familiar with like this to get that hype feeling I remember from the 2000s.

reminds me of having fun with my friends while rolling balls at raves and clubs in berlin. was a happy time; not a care in the world. i wish i could go back.
Try the A-Track Remix, that track converted me to this style of music when I was about 12y old. I would've end up a long-haired metal fan if not for this legend.
I like the dryness of the original better. A-Track has a good remix though. Speaking remixes, one of my favorites is Unison remix by Knife Party, which blows the original out of the water.
