Egon Schiele (1890-1918) is a child prodigy of Gustav Klimt and a pioneer of Austrian Expressionism. This video is a chronological collection of his 75 figurative works from 1908 - 1918 which are characterized by intense expressive lines, contorted body shapes, and raw aesthetics challenging conventional beauty.
In his short 28-year life, he had made an immense artistic influence over many 20th-century masters from Francis Bacon to musician David Bowie.
