Man, they kept so many tracks and melodies from Sticker Star, but they didn't use Kamek's Battle theme?! That was like the single best piece of music in that game!
To be honest, I think the only reason Kamek didn't have his battle theme back is because they personally prefer "A Fearsome Foe." It may not be the case, tho.
The boss fights? Maybe. But I think that the addition of Cards with Random Objects on the kinda shut down why Paper Mario was good. The little Quick Time Events you have to do when attacking is something that really made Paper Mario stand out. It's not long or tedious enough to feel like an actual Quick Time Event, so it's fine. The Object Cards, considering they're some of the strongest cards in the game, kind of throw that away. Why do this thing that takes input from the player (or as I call it, gameplay) when you can just press one button, watch a little movie, and do more damage? There seems to be no point. In my opinion, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Super Paper Mario are the best out of the Paper Mario games.
Thing cards do have button presses, but there is no indication as to when you are supposed to use them and there isn't much risk if you don't. They still do a crap ton of damage. I think they still should have incorporated little mini games, maybe involving the gamepad. Like with that turnip? Maybe you had to cut it as fast and well as possible using the stylus.
Color Splash takes the "literal paper" thing established in Sticker Star even further by stating that every living thing in the Paper Mario universe is colored by paint, which is pretty much their life source. Which is strange when you consider the whole construction paper style that Sticker Star's promotional artwork was trying to push.
Razor The Zoroark Which makes Color Splash's Game Over sequence the darkest in the series. In previous games, the game would just cut to a Game Over screen with Mario under a spotlight when you ran out of HP. But in Color Splash, a pack of Slurp Guys comes out of nowhere and start sucking all the life out of Mario while he's on the ground. And since he's the only one who can use the Paint Hammer, he's pretty much dead for good.
I'm guessing Kamek learned that giving Mario shoes won't help win. Now he learned that Shrinking him won't do either. Bowser should have filled him up on how Mario got to world 4 and 7 in New Super Mario Bros DS
Did anyone notice the verses of the boss music are somewhat similar in those of "Fight Against the Axem Rangers" and "Fight against an armed foe?" in SMRPG for SNES? Line it up in piano roll and you'll see the similarities. Even the chromatic build at the end of the track fits. *God Damnit Nintendo with the nostalgia... Right in the childhood yet again!*
When Kamek flips your cards over, you can still see how much paint is required for an unpainted card. That way, you can easily pick out your Big Flowers. Once you use 3 of those, you're basically winning in 2 turns.
Oh our fights must have been different because when I fought him he took away all my cards and made me battle spin the whole fight when I had two coins
to be fair I like Paper Mario sticker star better because kamek actually turn into ashes at the end of his paper life that's what he said on Paper Mario sticker Star Bowser will defeat you Bowser will defeat you Bowser will....
Kamek: Cross your fingers for a good card!
Mario: *gets a Thing replica*
Kamek: well shit
Robbie da Boo LOL
*chuckles* I'm in danger
"Did I lock my front door this morning?"
~Kamek's final words
PTp1ranha technically his last words were "you deserve this more than I"
John Morrison no his last words were *cough*
PTp1ranha un poisons I'll pl
@@johnmorrison3698 his last words was "Shoot..."
What if you could also find kameks house and go into it and take his stuff tho lmao
Man, they kept so many tracks and melodies from Sticker Star, but they didn't use Kamek's Battle theme?! That was like the single best piece of music in that game!
This theme is good too.
Hi XD
Replicas are amazingly hilarious. When you use replicas, they just plaster R E P L I C A on the screen.
Ninja Metall W A T E R M A R K A L A R M
Super Mario Minecraft Jesson that was Larry, not a toad. He says so before his boss fight
That’s what KineMaster feels like
*Kamek's battle theme is not in this game*
Why even live?
To be honest, I think the only reason Kamek didn't have his battle theme back is because they personally prefer "A Fearsome Foe."
It may not be the case, tho.
8-BitBreaker64
Agreed!
(Though I adore a Fearsome Foe!)
Quinten Hines The reason is that in Sticker Star you fight him three times with him being somewhat of a rival. Here, he just has one battle.
You'll need the magnifying glass in this fight anyway.
Of course, you'll have to paint the thing cards completely for the effects to kick in. And you'll need a lot of POW blocks for a perfect bonus.
I think we can all admit that this game is turning out to be ALOT better than we thought.

Yeah, the thing cards make the battle end in 5 minutes, but I'm probably only gonna use a few, to give it some of the original challenge TTYD had.

it's exactly what I expected, maybe a little worse
I knew it'd be a slightly improved sticker star from trailer 1
Kind of like the Mario and Luigi games? Or the crystal stars in TTYD?
what happened to the *C A S U A L F O O T W E A R*

R.I.P Flipflops 2012-2016
I will never forgive Nintendo for not including Kamek’s battle theme here
"Did I lock my front door this morning? GAH! NO!"
Let's go raid Kamek's house.
Apparently kamek is made of paint and hammers

@@GuyWithThePie Now it's even stranger since it was completely dropped and replaced with "paper scraps" in Origami King
Random singing as a battery descends from the heavens
This game has an amazing soundtrack with a lot of songs brought back from sticker star, but they didn't bring back the best one, Kamek's battle theme?
Mario just walking into Kamek has to be one of the most ridiculous attacks in the game.
4:07 sandels were fun to use
Me: Oh look, it's a Magikoopa out of the blue...
0:28 (The music starts)
Me: OH SHIT IT'S KAMEK!!!! YYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
5:46 You expect me to believe that he didn't notice his life energy draining?
That is a crime not to have kameks theme tune for the battle!
I'm guessing Kamek learned that giving Mario shoes won't help win. Now he learned that Shrinking him won't do either. Bowser should have filled him up on how Mario got to world 4 and 7 in New Super Mario Bros DS
This was a HUGE improvement of a fight compared to sticker star in this one I actually had fun fighting Kamek

kamek: cross your fingers for a good card 😎
mario: ''gets a magnyfying glass
mario: WHOS BIG NOW?
Kamek: ._.
(1:54)
You know you can paint a card. Even if it's flipped over.
-No FlipFlops
-No music from the previous trash (The game, not the music)
You call THAT a Kamek battle ?
I still wish Kammy was here instead of Kamek. The dialogue is even similar
Yeah me too. The only difference between the two characters is Kammy has a unique design and Kanmey Is a girl
KAMEK, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Cody is fighting Mario because he broke his ken doll! Lmao
When Kamek flips your cards over, you can still see how much paint is required for an unpainted card. That way, you can easily pick out your Big Flowers. Once you use 3 of those, you're basically winning in 2 turns.
What's sad is that they didn't play Kamek's Battle Theme from Sticker Star.
Which is weird because they play his Theme.
Funniest defeat of all time. I couldn't stop laughing. Especially with the Small Hammer Bros and Goombas. XDDDD
glad to see Kamek in the game. and his classic sneaky theme from sticker star. I hope Bowser Jr. is in the game...
It's too bad they didn't include Kamek's battle theme from Sticker Star :/
Why didn't he do the shoe spell first
The outro song is a Beatles 8-bits song I just can't tell which one
Dry Bones, and Fire Brother vs Kamek!
Mario Commits Murder (Again)
Oh our fights must have been different because when I fought him he took away all my cards and made me battle spin the whole fight when I had two coins
*EHEEHEEHEE! IT’S ITSY BITSY WITTLE MAWIO!*
Barbecue OP Plz Nerf
Kemek can keep the PlayStation buttons
Can you make a video on him turning into a card??????
shame Kamek didn't keep his battle theme from Sticker Star
I really hated fighting Kamek. I would put attack only cards to be first on my deck of cards before battling him
to be fair I like Paper Mario sticker star better because kamek actually turn into ashes at the end of his paper life that's what he said on Paper Mario sticker Star Bowser will defeat you Bowser will defeat you Bowser will....
BUT WHEN ? HOW ? WHERE ? mario can't be defeated he'll never die .... or maybe yes by being too old...
Steak time!
Random question, does the small size do anything?
nope
Last time I beat kamek with 4 cards
What happens to your cards after Kamek curses them at the start of the fight?
GriffenGamerTV flipped and you lose some during the figt
Repelicas Do 50% less Damage
I have expect listen malevolent but nah..
No boss theme?
No flip-flops?
*0/10.*
Not the battle theme
Kamek's theme. The only good thing about this game.
Kamek theme is actually from sticker star.
The fight theme is the normal Miniboss theme.
Actually this game is amazing
You know you can paint a card. Even if it's flipped over.
