i was just thinking earlier today that if he keeps
going, yuzuru will inevitably retire and nathan chen said he's going to focus on school next season so... ! shoma could have the chance to be the top skater
I don't believe Yuzuru will retire soon, maybe for another couple of seasons or until 2026. I can totally see him competing for years to come after Beijing. He might be interested in the new system/rules post-oly that rewarded full bv with those sequences and might try them out with his crazy jumps and when he master that 4A he might even put it in a combo who knows. The possibilities are endless with him.

Please do not be like Ted telling skaters to retire 😭here and there. I know inevitably Yuzuru will retire and I dread the time when he said that.
