If anyone is wondering what 'free crazy at the back' means, allow me to explain. In french we call a bishop a 'fou', this word also means crazy, and thus he simply meant 'free bish at the back'

I feel like every chess player has a period where they start rolling everyone. I went from 1350 - 1600 in a few days/weeks and I don’t even know how. Something just clicks
Maybe something you ate had stockfish in it
I think its because of the attitude. Probably you started to play more seriously and carefully that's how you unleash the potential you have. Its probably not because something just clicked in 1 2 days.
I did the same when I found purpose in my moves and started thinking ahead. Aka I started thinking
@@mightyninja7915 I don't know, that might be part of it but most skills have spikes of periods of rapid growth followed by long plateaus, especially for mental ones like chess. It certainly is the case for me with Chess, Go, and my art. Part of getting good is powering through those plateaus without getting demoralized.
Yeah I did the same a few weeks back, I started playing the london and just winning every game as white instead of my standard opening with e4 , Just learning a standard opening which is so solid like the london or something that starts with d4 made things easier.
That was my problem I was losing too many games as white , meanwhile as black I mostly win with the scandinavian defense cause people at this rating just want to trap the queen or attack and they will eventually blunder. Scandinavian is niche and nobody knows how to play against niche openings, my whole reasoning for scandinavian is that it fights for the center early in the game and your queen is already developed.
Initially I had an issue where I didn't know where to place my queen after taking the pawn but when I learned that it is safe on a5 I knew that was the opening that fits my playstyle.

"Free Crazy at the back" is because in French, the Bishop is called "Fou du Roi" or "Court Jester" (Juggler/Clown entertaining the King during Middle Age). The Bishop Chess piece is not a Religious Couselor in French. And "Fou" translates to "Crazy" in English. xQc was excited and nervous and his brain forgot the Bishop piece's name and he simply translated it's French name, Fou or "Crazy". lol Funny stress glitch. I like that guy.

You're giving XQC's chat way too much credit by saying they told him to castle to troll him. They're not that bright. They only told him to castle because you said that's what he should do. Unfortunately, the timing was bad and he had already moved the knight when they'd sent the messages telling him to castle.

xqc is near my level in rapid now, although hes a few hundred points lower in other time controls, but he's gotta work on tactics. Rook e7 is pretty obvious move in that later game, and the check with the bishop sets up rook e7, but he missed all of the tactics around those moves
