I decided to check my result only when UPSC release it. Why should I worry multiple times? After few days of break I will continue my studies. I'm not gonna check even UPSC answer key. UPSC aspirants should learn to discipline their mind.

So true peer pressure mein ake hum bhi anxious ho jate hai n we run after different coaching keys to compare....its a trap..even if have done amazingly in paper you should rest for 3-4 days and then check
Same, I'm too not checking my answers. There are so many disputed questions this time plus all this rat race for cut off is unaliving the aspirant inside me. I've already started my prep for mains anyways, whether for pre or for this mains, prep for mains answer writing is required. Also, this checking answer keys and then skipping to next year prep after not cross the tentative benchmark is such a defeatist outlook. Prepare for mains, fake it till you make it guys. Let's go.

It's such a trap. Giving pre was in itself such a big thing , why should I deliberately get upset.

@@ananyap3494 Exactly bestie, just go for the mains prep, because even now, the chances of prior qualified aspirants repeatedly qualifying upcoming prelims is decreases because prelims is becoming a rejection exam rather than a selection exam. I’m not saving attempts now, I’ll give all. Hoga toh hoga nai to tel lene jay this rat race, zindagi issi badi hoti hai. Like Sir said, it’s an exam, treat is as one, kya hum boards me kharab karne se padna chor dete h? Nai. So just go for it. Mene to coaching institute’s ki chize dekhna band kar diya hai, too much info overload ho rha hai. Revise, recall and attempt, bhagwan kre ho jayega. I don’t get the hype around all this cutoff.

Finally,someone said the truth 💯 Thank you for this Abhijeet! Everyone literally drops answer keys from 5 pm , like literally the exam just got over and people have no chill. This is so saddening to see that to just add content, the mental health is ignored so badly. The haunt of the exam is yet not over and there starts another drama. People should let the aspirants take a little relief.
Thank you so much for saying this! Once the prelims got over I had so many people tell me that I must be relieved that the prelims stage was over. But I felt the opposite, I was just anxious, sad, confused and weirdly felt heavier than before and the so-called mentors/coaching institutes merely reinforced that feeling to another degree. I am currently in the worst possible phase mentally because of the ruthless nature of the exam and the callous nature of almost everyone involved.

This message was much needed. Thank you so much! First attempt, as much as I outperformed myself in GS with a score of 98.2, I feel devastated about CSAT rn. I am expecting a score of 64 and my hopes are diminished. I won’t repeat this mistake but, currently I am on break, realising my mistakes. I am gutted but, I nevertheless plan to work hard next year.
Thank you so much sir. This is my 4th attempt and really anxious and stressed. Because of dehydration my health detroited during csat and i could just attempt 33 questions. Really not sure if i would clear this time and i am even afraid to check the answers. I don't know how to deal with this current stress, can't even sleep properly. Don't even have enough money to travel. Kahin bahar jane se dar lagta hai ki koi na puch le iss bar nahi hua toh kya karega!!?
Those so-called 'ex officers and teachers' were waiting for the prelims to get over , so that they could start selling their courses.
I lost respect for these people who just waste seats after having experienced lbsnaa and then try to make money out of that rank. Thank God they chose to leave the service, saved the country.

These blood suckers want as many people to sign-up before Prelims as they can influence by saying "Bhai 80+ hai toh tera bhi prelims ho raha hai jaldi jaldi course khareed le".
Will they refund if somehow that 80-85 marks candidate fails to qualify Prelims? The answer is NO.
So, before Prelims result is the GOLDEN time period to get those borderline students fall for their course.
Right. And some of those “ex-officers” hardly worked for a year or two in their posts. They realize that an average corporate Joe makes much more than them and hence resign. The solution lies with the students when they treat this as nothing more than an exam.
@@madhav_4 civils prep for them was all about FAME. But they realised fame is only if you finish under Rank 200-250. Post that rank you spend a very dull, unknown 9-5 job, and corporate is much better & fulfilled in all aspects, especially if you are a STEM graduate from a Tier I college.

@@Kaaleenbhaiya00 of course it is not a cakewalk. But if the only motive was to clear this exam to capitalise it later on by joining some coaching institute then these people are totally propagating wrong mindsets.
When we start preparing, we intend to serve the country. We don't ( I assume the majority of us don't) intend to clear the exam so that we can join coaching industry. I don't believe in sugarcoated words like "I've decided to stay with you as a teacher and help the community bla bla "
C'mon man , if it was so you wouldn't have attended the training period. Your goal was just to reach the LBSNAA.
Now I know you'll try attacking me how many times you've written mains ,or appeared in an interview to judge them.
But my evaluation is clear, I intend to serve the nation, if I fail in clearing the exam I'll eventually find something else to serve the country

This was my first prelims I am getting exactly 80 marks. I was 50:50 in two options for about 22 questions and attempted them all. I got only 2 of the them right, rest 20 had the other answer which I had doubt on. My luck didn’t support me in any way.
I am going back to my corporate job probably write CAT and GMAT. Done with UPSC, it’s simply a gamble. You cannot qualify this exam without a stroke of luck. You can be disqualified for getting easy questions wrong, but to get selected u need to be lucky. It’s not just a game of skill, it’s atleast 50% luck game.
And the question paper is also set in such a way which promotes guess work. UPSC wants people to guess between options by giving irrelevant current affairs questions in exam. This is wrong. I would have preferred an exam where the quality of questions are good and the cutoff goes to 150, but the question are not a gamble between two options.
You should qualify the exam because you had the right knowledge not because you could get few of your guesses right.
If you think prelims as luck based then you hadn't studied at all. It's good that you're not qualifying coz India can't afford a Substandard bureaucrats

I also studied well but something always happened.. like last year I cleared GS-1 but not csat.. this year despite people calling it easy.. I felt that this year’s paper was too factual and hard which is generally against upsc standards. Call me a weirdo but I felt that last year’s paper was better than this year… parroting people have edge this time.
@@Statepariksha this is for sure you don't shit about upsc...You must be graduating and taking coaching simultaneously once you'll come into the arena you'll feel him.....All my friend who already given interview 2-3 times and two are already in service are also feeling the same way I am also feeling the same way....I am getting 88 only after doing so much hardwork .....I've got 20 question in which I've eliminated two option and the rest is just gamble I also got only 2 correct ...... My other friend who hasn't studied that well but his luck favoured him that day he has got 10-12 such question correct out of 20 and he is getting 98 ....
Whatever he is saying is absolutely correct...But don't leave the prep bro do hardwork for one more year you'll definitely get the rank if you have belief in yourself
Great. I was sleep deprived whole week before this prelims. This morning I slept nearly 11 hrs. I feel so relaxed now.

The thing is that even parents these days have access to youtube and most of them are quite innocent and they easily believe what gets circulated over the Internet with respect to the UPSC papers, and they often start questioning our abilities

Ever since i checked csat paper, i m in the constant uncertainty and doubts. I had severe headache two days back, could not sleep properly. Yes we need cooling period, cuz only aspirants understand how much pressure it builds up when we check answer keys. I have let it go to fate n trying to keep calm. 🙏, cuz my mental health is more important than any answer key or random discussions about level of paper.

Course sell karna impt hai time pe , varna timeline and planning nahi banega.. and koi naye courses nahi sell ho rahe. Its highly competitive, and yes one has to anyway adapt to it. Jab ancient and medieval times pe war hote the sudden and unscheduled period tak… koi cooling off period tab to nahi mangta tha. Sir one has to consider themselves a warrior. Ye highly competitive hai.. koi nahi sunney jayega ki ap mentally bakiyo se zyada fit ho ya kam.

If a person study just 8 hr I don't see how it's not equal to rest! Rest doesn't mean scrolling insta aur wasting time on RUclips or sleeping 15 hrs, studying at leisurely speed is also rest, in the name of rest don't waste time, as if you think study is some burden.. why not studying is our part of life instead so we don't think omg i m so tired let me waste few days to freshen up!!! Come on man , take one or max two off and get to process, why make such issue of it, earn money by making RUclips on this topic!.

This msg was much needed. It was so stupid when people started giving answer keys right after prelims and giving cutoffs. Giving prelims in such harsh heatwaves conditions is in itself a task . A good break away from all this speculations is all we need to come back stronger for another battle.

V do not know whether the key answers of csat RC can be relied on.. because I've Heard people say they passed when they thought they won't but didn't pass when they thought they will! For some of us CSAT is the deciding factor even though it was a better paper than last year . So various reasons to get worried.
