My top 10 in no order would be Peacock Swan Ara parrot Pygargue Ostrich Barn owl Harfang (snowy owl) Hummingbird Manchot empereur Gaulish Rooster Since its not always about bright colours, i picked birds like ostrich and the manchot because the first one looks like those dinosaur birds survivors like cassowaries and emus but if they where fashionistas, and the other one looks dapper with his tuxedo. I could also pick only birds of prey because to me they are the most fascinating family of birds.
There is another bird here in Perth in Western Australia that you might like to look at some time - the Rainbow Lorikeet. The name says it all of course but Apparently it was imported here from Queensland. However, I would like people to consider what it is that has created such beautiful plumage on a perfectly symmetrical animal that in most cases can fly. Well we can't put it down to random evolution can we? So what is it then that creates such astonishing colours in a perfectly symmetrical pattern in the feathers which grow out of the skin of these birds? What is the formula in the DNA of these birds that knows how to make a perfectly symmetrical pattern of colour in these feathers? How do the cells know what to do? How does it all work? How does the interface between the skin and the feather work? How could it just possible happen like this? Was it not all designed to be this way?
British birds they could of added Kingfisher, green woodpecker, great crested grebe, blue tit, hoopoe (summer migrant), bee eater(summer migrant) Ringneck parakeet (non native) , goldcrest and firecrest , long tailed tit, red kite, osprey, turtle dove, curlew, pied avocet, Teal duck, manarin duck (non native) and more!
I know these are all subjective and there were some cool birds but how is the resplendent quetzal not on here? My favorite so I am just a little biased lol
