Thank you for taking the time to feature us on your channel! We appreciate your detailed insights as well as your feedback on our Scriveiner Rollerball Pen.
The Scriveiner EDC fountain pen has been making the rounds on the various fountain pen RUclips channels lately. The overall reception seems pretty positive.
I would say scriveiner and kaweco sport would be the best 2 pens for someone to start a collection of fountain pens with. They are affordable, pretty nice, and one for pants pocket and one for jacket pocket. Between the two you would have everything you meed until the addiction sets in and you buy more
At 9:08 you say that there are many other options to put a Schmidt 888 in. Could you please put together a video of such options, which would be similar in vibe to this Scriveiner? I.e., something that looks reasonably nice and professional without rubber grip gimmicks or gaudy styling? I really like the 888 and 5888 (and the Schneider Top Ball) and am always on the lookout for nice or elegant pen bodies that will accept them.
Same question here. Would like to see a video for topic picks for 888 refill for example. I specifically looking for a full metal rollerball pen that use this refill.
I agree with you about this one looking like a "trade show" pen. I'm still glad I looked them up on Amazon because I saw they have one that's like a sliiiightly larger version of a Kaweco Sport, which is awesome because I love the KS but even when posted it's too small for my (apparently) giant hands. I got one in copper and it's lovely. The included refill is a little thick for my tastes so I'll probably swap it out, but if anyone is looking for a Kaweco clone, and much cheaper than a metal Kaweco, it's definitely worth checking out.
@@unsharpen just a follow up in case anyone’s reading this in the future - a sarasa grand refill fits in place of the Schmidt 888. Even the “Fine” model of the 888 was way too wet for my tastes. That thing just soaks through paper.
I bought the black version of this pen a couple years ago. They were marketing hard, and I fell for it. The pen is fine. I replaced the refill with a 1.0 mm Pilot G2. Writes great but I really don't reach for it very often.
I have the fountain pen. Its a very nice entry level fountain pen. I like the size and magnetic cap. It was a gift and I do like it a lot. One of the many in my collection of fountain pens.
Nice video, you can make a video about some pens of metal barrel (ejecutive) to refill g2 pilot. :D I have tried some like the pentel ones, everyman, but I am looking for something more ejecutive not so tactical. New subscriber.
Have you ever tried the Ohto Gs02? It looks similar to a rotring, I just ordered this one after losing my rotring which wore down poorly in the finish. I ordered the Gs02 today via Amazon it’s around the same price and takes a Parker g2. I see nothing on the internet about it outside of Japan
This has certain Cross (end of the barrel especially, colour itself is very Cross-like) and Parker (whole grip section) design vibes with cap, reminding me of some slimmer Diplomat pens. What is the most interesting for me is the name of the company itself, Scriveiner, which is suspiciously close to Scrivener, which is a professional writing software. Coincidence?
The product seems nice, but the price very stong, not like it's Parker or something. The name made me think of 'ysgrifennu', the Welsh word for 'write', pronounced like 'uss-scriv-enny'. Talking of Sharpie S•Gel, I bought a pack of 3 recently and they are some of the worst pens ever, terrible ink flow, all 3 were bad.
I bought the blue with blue ink. I liked it so much that I ordered a red pen with red ink. I hate Mont Blanc, their quality has gone done over the years.
Try putting this pen in your jeans. Most pens of 10X the price do not survive this. I wouldn't just put my Montblanc Meisterstück Rollerball Pen in my jeans when I'm riding a motorcycle. This pen can take a beating.
I actually like the scrivener app! I used it a ton at one point and found it quite helpful. I was going to mention in in the video but thought it would be too obscure

I got the Scriveiner fountain pen for Christmas. It writes very nice - I was pleasantly surprised!

I’ll check around thanks.

I just saw the Ohto GS02 it looks really cool apparently it came out last year! I wanna try that!
Literally got this pen for Xmas from my aunt, and I added the Ohto C307-P blue refill. So nice.

I'm so glad you reviewed this pen!!!
Using comparison pens was an excellent way to illustrate this pen’s characteristics
Just got this from wifey for Christmas..yes gifty, lol.
Great review, thanks!
Bought one on black friday after thinking about it for a while. I quite like it, plus it takes a sharpie s gel refil which is a bonus
Congratulations for 100k subs 🎉
Thank you so much 😀

Will check into it thanks. I think I’ve seen the brass version come up in my searches before

Yeah I think that’s my take away. It’s competent but bland.
i love roller balls alot and this is definitely going on my birthday list
Happy birthday!

Yes it’s on my radar. Took some time to locate and order one. Plus it’s not cheap!
@@unsharpen oh I got it for $23 on Amazon in 2 day shipping to usa
Uniball Impact 207 is my top pen.

Retro 51 easy flow 9000 is same as Schmidt easy flow 9000 or are they diff??
Same thing.
Montblanc feel . Scrivener is like a Montblanc.
Very nice pen is it available on Amazon to order?
Yes
Gee, the box/packaging looks like it's worth more than the pen! 😂

I don't like this pen it's like I'm looking just at a marketing piece with no other thoughts behind it
Gucci is a thousand dollars for one pen.
IT SEEMED LIKE AN INTERESTING PEN TO PICK UP
I bought the blue with blue ink. I liked it so much that I ordered a red pen with red ink. I hate Mont Blanc, their quality has gone done over the years.
Looks like a parker rollerball. I have one from like 15 years ago

The finish is terrible rubs off and scratches super easy
Scrivener is known for novel writing software, not pens.
Two different companies with similar sounding names but different spelling: Scrivener (software) vs. Scriveiner (pen)
Still not worth the money
