I’m just here to confirm that you made the right decision for Mango. But also to let you know that bugs aren’t the one happiness in his life, it was finding a forever home with your family - People who, unlike his previous owners, are able to give him a good home, and that have his overall best interests at heart.
Jessica, I think your decision to stop the medications sounds like the best choice. Only YOU KNOW Mango. You know what is right for him. I give you tons of kuddos to do what is best to make sure he is comfortable and happy. Hugs.
Absolutely 💯 agree! The same goes with humans. I'm currently undergoing chemo and taking a "break" from it bc it's unbearable! I'd rather have a good quality of life than to be miserable longer. Although I'm only 43. Always be human in making decisions regarding your pets/ family! ❤
I am SO glad you decided to do a mobile groomer. Less stress on the dog and you can supervise. Perfect choice, Jess. Perfect choice. As time goes on, it won't take 3 hours. You can schedule it so it's more frequent and so it won't be a longer time because the coat will always be maintained.
It also takes longer the first time because they are going slower so as to get the dog used to whats going on. They dont want to traumatize them for their first groom.
@@pombefemale Yep! I love mu mobile groomer. We've had him for over a decade now. We're on a schedule and it's like clockwork. It's about an hour now. Easy peasy.
I totally agree with stopping the medications for mango he seems happier and he looks a lot better than the last time you showed him his beard was so black I fully support your decisions and I will continue to send my prayers for you all and mango❤
He's displaying the same behavior you see with a lot of hospice patients. They make peace with the envitable, and are ready to face whatever life has in store for them. While it is an understandably sad and frustrating time for their loved ones, they become happier and have some sense of newfound freedom as if a burden has been removed from them. Animals may not be able to articulate words, but they do speak to us if we stop and listen.
It’s so hard to know what the “right” decision is as a pet owner. Mango is so lucky to have you as his mama! You’re just doing your best and what will make him happy at the end of the day, and that’s really all that matters! ❤❤
As a previous vet tech, I support your decisions with Mango. Also seeing a positive change in him with that decision is great to see. Stay strong Mango!
As a human palliative care nurse of 30 years - I can confirm you made the right decision for little Mango. Quality of life over quantity. Let him live his best life eating what he loves best. Keep him comfortable and pain free. Your doing an amazing job ❤❤❤
It’s so good to see Mango not black anymore. I was getting worried. Also glad you stopped the meds (sometimes those can be worse than the actual problem). Prayers for Mango for sure ❤ Honey looks so much better now
I had my elderly beardie put to sleep earlier this year - she also had been struggling with lumps on her head and it was causing repetitive eye issues. The day I had her put to sleep was the day she just didn't have the energy to eat anymore - I didn't want her to suffer. I know that my little girl - and Im sure your little dragon too - lived her absolute best life and sometimes we just gotta give ourselves grace to understand that this is life and its ok. I think Beardies make the best pets for those who are attentive to their needs and watch their unique personalities thrive. Clearly Mango has been given the best chance to thrive and I'm sure he is pretty content with the love he's getting. Some people say the reptilian brain prevents them from feeling emotions but I'm pretty sure they know who makes them feel safe and secure x
I'm sure some people may think it's not the right decision to stop his meds, but honestly he's your baby. He's your pet. If you want to stop his meds and try to extend his quality of life rather than trying to fight for his life-span, that's your choice and you are doing wat you think is best for him. It shouldn't be controversial to do what you think is best for YOUR loved ones. Dragon or not. 💕I wish for mango and your family that you can create the best memories possible with the time you guys have left with him, no matter what the quantity of that time is. 🥹❤
Hi Jess! In the past 3 months, my two dogs have passed from old age related issues. Our hendrick actually passed away last night. During the last few years we had with them, we became more lenient and just allowed them to live their best lives. We did things that they loved, it was their world and we just lived in it. Do what makes him happy, spend extra time with him, give him lots of extra love. Make his last days, months, or years everything he would want.
Ow no 😪 Hope you are doing ok 😔 Nothing more painful as losing a dog, let alone 2. Sounds like sweet Hendrick and your other doggy had an amazing life with you though 💖
So good to see Mango looking happier! I def think you’re making the right choice. Also, I have a labradoodle and she’s a bigger dog maybe a bit bigger than yours (but she’s 2) and it always takes the groomer like 3-4 hours. So nothing to worry about 😊😊😊
I feel sad for mango. I have a bearded dragon also (Rebel)and the thought of this kills me. I think you have done everything you could do for him at this point making him comfortable and happy is what matters. I would do the same. Praying Mango has more happiness and time with the Fam💚🦎
Oh Jess, death is such a difficult thing. I am 100% Agree w your decision regarding Mango. It would b cruel to continue his "treatments" when they're Not gonna change the outcome. It makes me sad to realize he won't always be around. But he's Happy NOW n that's Really All any of us have anyway! God bless you n your brood.❤
My Father was 80 and was diagnosed with cancer and we didnt want his end life to he sick with chemo ..you are doing the right thing Jess .. being nauseated and barfing is the worst .. once you get a certain age you cant prolong the enebidable .. its different if your young or your pets young .. ❤
Honestly, 10000% agree with the no meds. Only i would also let him have the bugs. Hes sick and old. Let him live out the last of his life with you surrounded by love and his favourite foods ❤ Mango is so lucky to have you all.
Good choice for mango! Let him live out the rest of his life. I did that with my dog last year, he had a rare heart condition and instead of keeping him on meds I just let him be, and he lived a good 10 months after that (he was old) let him enjoy the rest of his life
To help figure out how you like honeys hair to be cut i really recommend looking up different cuts some groomers will do for doodles. I used to work in a grooming salon and my personal favorite was when the groomer would do what is called a teddy bear cut, kind of similar to what she has now but they really shape everything up leave the tail and face a little longer like you have. I think your decision to cut honeys hair shorter was really smart especially in these summer months. If/when honey starts swimming in the pool with you guys the shorter hair will make brushing her out afterwards so much easier and help prevent a lot of matting not to mention it will just help her regulate her body temperature a lot better than with the long hair! As for Mango i think you made the right decision. As hard as it is to make that decision to just keep them comfortable in the long run it’s gonna make him so much happier. It’s not worth making him take meds that give him so many side affects and that he hates just to maybe give him some more time. I really hope you still get some good happy moments with him before he decides to cross the rainbow bridge ❤❤❤
When you adopt a rescue animal reptile ect you give them another chance at life you can give them so much love and that’s all he needs . It’s never easy when your pet is sick or when you get sad news, but giving them lovers sometimes the best thing you can do so they know that you love them . i’m definitely will keep him in my thoughts and prayers because he’s so cute and I love animals and thank you for adopting a rescue. It truly changes their life and yours and your family .
I think you made the right decision. I’m a dog mom and I’ve always said if our fur baby got sick Lord forbid we’d let her pass naturally (unless it’s painful) and we would just keep showering her with love until she was gone💞💕
I don't blame you stopping medication as agree with you that it's better to let him have a happy life. My friend decided to stop chemo as it made her so sick. It may of shortened her life but she was able to enjoy what time she had left. Xx
I was not expecting that update on Mango I started crying I’ve been watching you since addy was about 3 it makes me so sad to hear about him I’m so sorry I hope he gets better soon ❤ sending love
You go Mango live your best life. Great decision Jess. He looks better than giving him extra stress with meds and changing everything in his routine. Honey looks great she will be much cooler now.
You are doing the best thing for your bearded dragon. He is now on bearded dragon hospice. You're just keeping income comfortable and letting them have a happy life. That is a wonderful thing. You are the best mama to your kids, anger animals.
I think you’re doing the best you can for Mango and I think I would do the same thing. Just like humans sometimes at the end of life it’s about comfort and not being miserable.
Sorry to hear about Mango. Just dealt with this with our dog. He was 16 and had heart issues and kidney levels continued to get high, had pancreatitis and was to be on special food that he was not interested in. Continued to try daily but he just wouldn’t eat. So it was let him eat what he wants which makes him happy!
I had a Golden retriever that got leukaemia at 3yrs old :( The biggest thing that always brought me comfort was knowing we did everything to give her the BEST life we could! She got to live her whole life with us super happy and loved! Her life was cut too soon but her life was FULL and happy❤ We got a similar diagnosis of “it could be a few days or it could be a few months” I was so thankful for all the time we got because we were able to give her so much extra love and treats
You should not shave double-coated dogs because shaving removes their ability to regulate their temperature. A double coat has two layers, an undercoat and a guard coat, that work together to keep a dog cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Shaving a double coat destroys the natural airflow between the layers, making it harder for the dog to regulate its temperature.
I just love you Jess. You are an amazing mother to all your (fur)(step)kids. ❤ Also I agree that you make the best decision for little Mango, quality of life is most important. Honey looks so soft 😍
Sorry to hear about Mango's diagnosis. All you can do is make him comfortable and give him the best life a beardie can have. Knowing his end is coming will be difficult. Some people don't understand how much animals impact our lives and hearts, whether they have fur, scales, feathers, or quills. 12 years ago today my first hedgehog was diagnosed with cardiomegaly/congestive heart failure. Watching him struggle tore me apart. Medication helped him become himself again (the meds/giving it to him didn't stress him out or make him feel worse). But that was a bandaid, so to speak, and we knew it wouldn't last forever. We got another 5 weeks with him, 5 weeks of cherished memories. Hugs to you and the fam.
Regarding mango: I totally agree with your decision, just give him the best rest of his life you can and let nature take its course because as much as you love the pet it gets way too expensive for them to just pass away eventually. I used to have a rabbit and she had issues but was toward the end of how long she would have lived so I just gave her the best life spoiled her untill she finally passed naturally. And as sad as it is in the end there’s really nothing you can do to reverse a certain diagnosis. I would just prepare the kids for mango not living much longer. ❤ Love your videos.
Not that it matters. But I’m so happy these comments are so supportive of Jess with mango I was so stressed. But all in all this is the best route for an older pet, especially reptiles❤
Jess I’m in that situation with my dog her liver is failing and she’s 12 she’s fine otherwise but like you we are letting her live her best life. She’s happy right now !
Honey is giving luck dragon with that haircut 😍 what a sweet girl! This short cut on her will really help with the matting if you keep up on it. She looks so cute!
I dont thinks its controversial......if the treatment is worse than the sickness, its kinda common sense. I used to work at a vet and its ABSOLUTELY about quality of life. You are doing the best thing for Mango!
Jess, I think you're doing the right thing for Mango. ❤ God bless you. You are a wonderful person and mama, to human babies, fur babies, and lil' dragons alike. ❤

I believe you have Mango's best interests at heart, and you're doing the right thing. Hugs to you all as you face the future for him. PS. The mobile groomer is a good option; however, you can make the decision on how you want Honey groomed - if you don't like that close, clipper cut, make a different choice...especially since she's a Dood.
You made the right decision for mango. He would be going thru living h!ll so u made the right choice. Ppl can say what they want but at the end of the day like only goes on for so long. And he shouldn’t be spending his last years/weeks/months throwing up and being pi1sed at the world. So proud your decision❤

I just finished the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Thursday evening and night with the kids and hope you Jessica had a wonderful Barbie themed Mother's day and hope Mango feels better soon and praying for him and Honey the dog looked completely different and hope she loves her new look.
They did a good job on honey but I would recommend that you trim around her face and ears more just not the inside of the ears as much or she will get infected.
Hi Jesss. if I had an animal who had a disease I would put it down. not let the animal suffer. I think that would be best to do. just an idea. not to be cruel or anything
Omg i remember being 14yo and watching Ur live of the twins being born I think. N now im 26 with my own 3 kids and I can't believe how far we have both come haha but especially you! Wait does that mean the boys are 12 now?!?!?! Wtfffff hahaha been a looking time supporter since I was 12 n found out my sister was pregnant at 18!!! Love you guys

I am so sorry for your family having to make this decision, however I think you are making the best decision possible. What's the point in making him miserable if not to help . I HAVE ALWAYS SAID IF I GET CANCER AND CHEMO IS GOING TO HELP ME THEN YES I WILL FIGHT AND DO CHEMO, BUT IF THERE IS NO CHANCE OF CHANGING MY OUTCOME. LIKE WITH HIM AND HIS LIVER. THEN HECK NO I AM NOT DOING IT. WHY ? WHATS THE POINT OF MAKING HIS LAST DAYS WEEKS MONTHS NASTY IF ITS NOT GONG TO HELP

The mobile groomer is a good option; however, you can make the decision on how you want Honey groomed - if you don't like that close, clipper cut, make a different choice...especially since she's a Dood.
Go Mango!!!! Praying for him😄
I agree with letting nature take its course! He'll have a wonderful last months/years. That's what counts.
Hope everyone is doing good sending prayers for everyone
Feel better soon mango praying
You made the right decision for mango. He would be going thru living h!ll so u made the right choice. Ppl can say what they want but at the end of the day like only goes on for so long. And he shouldn’t be spending his last years/weeks/months throwing up and being pi1sed at the world. So proud your decision❤
The new Starbucks drink with boba is good. I got the refresher without the coconut milk. It’s so good
I have a mango toooo, I pray 🙏 your mango lives a pain free life, I pray everything is is okay with your mango 🥭
Awe, Mango looks so much happier. It’s like night and day. Poor Mango. You definitely made the best choice for him and him not having the meds and being sick all the time is better than him being sad and miserable. 🤗🫶🏼💙
That looks exactly how my dog looks after and she looks like a doodle more now! And yes they will be waaaay better and feel way better Also. It's good for her!!
i'm glad mango is happy and you got some answers i were you and the kids i would spend alot of time with mango know because who knows how much longer his going to be around
I think it’s a great idea to go shorter for the summer or anytime it’s warmer.
Get well mango
I think u made the right choice when it comes to mango
I just finished the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Thursday evening and night with the kids and hope you Jessica had a wonderful Barbie themed Mother's day and hope Mango feels better soon and praying for him and Honey the dog looked completely different and hope she loves her new look.
I love your videos 🫶🏼 I hope to meet you one day! Much love from Maui, Hawaii
o that was nice to see the boy is back
This is the earliest I’ve ever been! Yayyyy! Hey Jess!😁
I love your outfit!
He loves his momma ❤️
Love you Mango 💚🦎
They did a good job on honey but I would recommend that you trim around her face and ears more just not the inside of the ears as much or she will get infected.
Hi Jesss. if I had an animal who had a disease I would put it down. not let the animal suffer.
I think that would be best to do. just an idea. not to be cruel or anything
Unfortunately we outlive our pets. But giving them the best life possible is the best thing to do!
My love, as a heads up we're striking starbies for unionbusting amongst other things.
Your kid already broke his ladder wall... that's hilarious!
Mango❤️🙏🏻right choice Jess❤❤
So sad about mango but u r doing the right thing. I prefer the dogs coat a wee bit longer not that she isn’t cute. Palliative care is the best for Mango in the long term Ok happy Mother’s Day Debbie Aberdeen Scotland UK xxxx
Honey is so big! And adorable
I are doing the right thing with mango. You all gave him a wonderful life. All that matters is keep it going until the rainbow bridge. Where you well see each other again . 😢
for that breed short is corect cut in hot weather
Look into grooming a golden doodle. It can really mess up their fur
You’re such a good Mango Mama 🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛
Ah! Honey is like an alpaca. They are all fluffy, then you shave them and they're like noodles.
I think you’re doing the right thing. Let him munch on his bugs and live his best retirement life.
it’s one of those green bars broken?
I hope mango gets better and he also could have been Allergic to the medication
What happened to the Honey puppy🙌🏻. Damn she has grown fast❤
Way too short!
Tommmyy!!

Hi
hiii:)
4:15 that is such a good idea
Give him what’s natural in the wild. Also was his liver checked after the medicines?
