The dash-- Shun Goku Satsu at 06:25 is really awesome fast input courtesy of Umehara Daigo.
as usual whatever character daigo touches is godlike but man he has some bad taste in colors :/
I actually dig evil ryu's regular outfit.
I get the feeling Daigo was too hungry for that super, lol. At 6:16 he got the low forward fireball and he could have done FADC close fierce, EX tatsu, u2 to close out the game
Nice deduction. I don't often see U2 juggle so I'm unfamiliar with the damage it would do. You sure it would kill?
I'll go do it to refresh my memory but I'm pretty sure if it didn't kill, sagat would be at an irrelevant amount of health.
It's all relevant at this level of play ;) if you find out it works, I'm with with you. Otherwise the super set up was definitely the right choice.
Agreed, the super did the better job at killing but the low mk fireball fadc to the shoryu and U2 juggle would have left Daigo with one bar to chip kill. The only downside is the ridiculous amount of meter donated if it doesn't win the round.
A well timed corner crossup MK or d+MK divekick would have had sagat whiffing under him if he uppercutted. If either connect, daigo has the true blockstring close MK (3f startup) into 3 hits of ex shoryu for the chip kill. It might have still been effectively a guaranteed kill even if the u2 itself didn't kill. And that carries a lot less risk than a thread-the-needle dash to super.
i am seriously starting to doubt about daigo's taste in fashion....
why do i feel that every player can be pro by playing sagat

It's amazing how Daigo just trades HP for real estate.

Part of me hopes that the stream station at EVO won't have costumes so we don't have to see Daigo using this alt and color at EVO.
And despite all the times Gachi tried to punish Evil Ryu's low forward > fireball in the corner(in the first match) with far LK, Daigo never once challenged it with a random DP. He was committed to his game plan from the beginning to play a solid and clean game.
Wow. Daigo never jumped forward once. That was crazy footsies.

Jordan Miller PR Rog has been using E Ryu for quite some time. Not as early as Sako was, but way before Ultra came out for sure.

Yep official change. Though I'm sure he'll bounce between the two at evo if the match demands it.

That aura has nothing to do with the costume. Evil ryu's has it by default.

Not really. Sagat's footsies aren't the best. His dependency lies in midscreen fireballs. Once E. Ryu is in (which isn't an uncommon feat given his walk speed) Sagat doesn't have a ton of options that can challenge E. Ryu. Give E. Ryu two bars and Sagat is looking at a very painful price to pay by getting with with just a simple low forward 2:24
Jordan Miller as a sagat player myself i agree with both of you but gachi got pushed around too much because he tried to play too safe sometimes you need to take a gamble to keep the other player honest. But at the same time its a big risk against evil ryu cos of the dmg output.
Fevapres Sagat needs his Vanilla far-cancellable stand LK back BADLY,
sabishiihito sagat needs more than that. But that would be a start. His cmk hitbox is dodgy . if they gave those 2 things and didnt nerf his tigershots id be happy.
