Originally there was supposed to be a whole level fighting your way through the Covenant carrier (i think) but was scrapped to make the release date. Probably the only time company deadlines led to something epic. 😂 Awesome video Juliette!
Yeah you're right, it was supposed to be a level but opted out for a cutscene due to time restraints. Halo 2 and part of 3 were supposed to be one game.
In case you didn’t realize the Elite from the terminal Thel Vadame is the golden elite we see at the beginning who gets branded. He is a very important character going forward.
Arguably the greatest entry in the series storywise.I hope you enjoy this masterpiece. P.S.:I absolutely adore the remastered graphics in this one since it actually keeps the tone of the og game unlike Halo CE Anniversary.
Adore this remake so much simply because of how they basically re-created and in many areas improved the assets maintaining the original art direction and designs. The Halo CE remaster pulled heavily from Halo Reach so it felt more like Halo Reach 1.5 visually than Halo CEs unique art design. But Halo 2 is looking amazing.
In this game, and in a few other games. You don’t have to worry about a health meter. Your health will regenerate along with your shields. But be careful as it will take around 5 to 6 shots to eliminate you without shields. 😊

Yes! Halo 2 is actually my first game ever play tbh! My brother got this game when it was first released. Still have the original box and disc. And I will always thank my brother to get me into the gaming industry. I was 5 years old when I first played Halo 2. 😊❤️
i just got my copy of the Master Chief collection an hour ago, after not playing Halo for years. my niece and i finished the 1st halo on legendary when it first came out, on the xbox. my favorite part of the halo universe is the Flood. how they were introduced in the 1st game was epic. and then they expanded on the lore through the rest of the series. amazing. glad i found your channel, and look forward to seeing you make your way through the halo universe! 👍

Halo 2 is my favourite of the franchise. Although many people did not like it, i always loved the story being told from both perspectives. And the Covenant civil war near the end.
Can hardly wait till the next episode! Halo 2 has such a great opening, I love it. Especially since it gives us a glimpse into the internal workings of the Covenant and it's internal hierarchy. Lord Hood is voiced by Ron Perlman, who amongst other MANY other things, is also the narrator in the Fallout games (i.e. War... war never changes).
One of the best GAMES in the gaming history especially for the og Xbox playing the first halo will always bring me that childhood nostalgia then you slap on 2 then 3 all of the emotions will fall in place Thank you for this nostalgic video
Juliette's Halo 2 let's play is here? I'm more hyped for this than I am for GTA VI 😁 This game has such a great intro. The opening level is an excellent reintroduction to the gameplay and the story cutscenes show such a great contrast between how one character is treated like a hero, while the other is ostracised and punished. As before the grunts are still some of the the most endearing enemies in gaming. I mean come on, how can you not love those guys! 30:49 What are those things you ask? I remember the midnight release at Blockbuster for this. Got it, played for a few hours, then caught an airplane to go to my dad's convention where they cele him. Fond memories. Love your gameplay. Enjoy the rest of the game
32:22 a advice of greanades, if you noticed the fragmentation greanades (human greanade) detonate quickly than covenant greanades (because of their skicky nature to give the user time to back off) keep this in mind when using greanades, as you can switch wich one you gonna throw
The terminal you encountered was one of many that you can find. There's one in each level of Halo 2 and each one sheds new light on the lore of the Halo universe. Thel Vadam, the golden elite in the first cutscene and mentioned in the terminal, was the Fleetmaster (admiral) who led the Fleet of Particular Justice in pursuit of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn as it fled the human colony world Reach and eventually its arrival on the Halo ring from Halo CE. (would recommend a playthrough of Halo Reach if you love Halo) What he went through was essentially a shaming ceremony where he was stripped of rank and branded with the Mark of Shame for his failure to stop the destruction of Halo ring The Spartans that encountered Vadam in The Rubble were the members of Spartan Grey team, a team of Spartan IIs (like the Chief). They were primarily used during the Human-Covenant War as a covert ops team, sent behind enemy lines on missions to sabotage Covenant military assets and eliminate high ranking HVTs. You can read more about that particular incident in the novel The Cole Protocol by Tobias S. Buckell

1:50 the demon title that the spartans got it was due of their skills that pretty much can fight head on the covevant wich obviously gain the respect of the elites but it was more focused on chief the demon title and considering most spartan 2 armor set was similar, the covenant couldn't tell wich one was master chief on reach xd

34:11 most player didn't noticed this but you legit on top of the loading system for the mac gun that it was visible from the elevator door once it opened when you arrive, but due in space there is no sound you couldn't hear it and look at it, thats why its going up and down constantly xD
Others probably mentioned these things already, but..... At times, when you were low on ammo and wanted a new weapon or reloads, you ran by weapons lockers embedded in the wall. Also, at at least a couple points, you ran by pistols sitting there (though they were weakened in power for Halo 2 so you may not care to use them). Smaller weapons can be dual-wielded. Yes, you can take allies' weapons. Also, for multi-seat vehicles, if you sit in the passenger or gunner spot, someone else will drive. If an ally is sitting in a seat you want, just click to sit, they'll get out, and take another spot. I got into a warthog once, my rifleman say in the passenger, and a rocket launcher guy took the gun. I got the rocket guy out, then the rifleman, and sat in the driver. The rocket switched to passenger and rifle to gun, so I had max firepower. Also, NPC'd NEVER run out of ammo so that soldier was launching rockets all day. If you come across marines just standing there, often they're out of range of the fight. It's a bit difficult, but, if you have the time and patience, you just nudge them from behind closer and closer to the Covenant. Once they're close enough or take a hit they'll move to engage and get in the fight.

I guess depending on what your playing on, If you are ever interested there an uncut version out there. These “lost” versions are the best restored versions of the halo games that fans have managed to price together with the previous removed content included. So if you felt one part of a story felt off or wanted to use more more weapons, the lost versions might be some content your subscribers.
14:24 covenant and human dialogue can be even more funny if you enable a skull related to it, there is also the party skull wich every time you headshot a grunt it gives a "yay" and conffeti flying xD
Awesome! I recommend enabling the IWHBYD skull if you would like to. It makes rare dialogue more common, so marines and enemies will say some funny things! Makes the playthrough more fun imo. Keep up the great content 🙂

Almost forgot, you can duel wield in this game. And you can duel wield most weapons. For example, you can duel wield a plasma rifle and a smg, pistol and a plasma pistol, and many more. You can do it with human and covenant weapons. 😄❤️

12:36 the battle rifle in halo two alongside the covenant carabine its the best weapons to have in all difficulties, but there is also the dual wielding wich opens up a bit of varieaty, of course this only limited to one handed weapons like the smgs or most covenant weapons
Once you reach Gravemind play it in classic. The ending song for the level is a banger. Reason being is they didn't get the rights for anniversary which I still hope they change.
Just subscribed! Love seeing folks discover Halo for the first time. May have missed your explanation of what order you'll play the rest of the series but I always suggest playing ODST after Halo 2 and before Halo 3. It takes place during the second half of Halo 2 and gives a different perspective on the human forces. Love how Halo 2 expanded Halo's lore by giving a first person perspective of the Coveant. Thel 'Vadamee is honestly one of the best characters in the series and I can't wait to see you discover his story.

@@xJuliettex Thank you! It is Doctor Who inspired (maybe I should add the TARDIS as my picture). Halo 3 was released first in 2007 while ODST came out in 2009 as a quasi-expansion/prequel to 3. Like I said though, ODST is chronologically before 3 and is kind of a bridge between 2 and 3. Whatever order you play though is up to you, I just look forward to seeing your thoughts on both games. Halo and Mass Effect are two series I grew up with and I always enjoy seeing new players check them out 😃

40:30 you might missed that during your way to the bomb, cortana reported that the lead covenant ship ignored your station and went past the debris of one of the mac cannon stations straight to earth, thats why you are now on your way to earth
28:00 advice of this mechanic, allys have infinite ammo, even if the gun you give to them has one bullet left, so, try to give your allys the best weapons posible or change weapons with them if you about to run out of ammo, allys with sniper rifles are lethal but be carefull of giving them rocket launchers, it can backfire in close quarters if you on the way, also you can't change the same type of weapon with a ally if you both have the same one They even have comments if you have them good weapons or ones they consider bad, for example, with johnson if you take his sniper rifle they will be a bit upset xD but if you give him a good weapon he would be cheerfull of killing pontencial
Every missions has a pink incoming message. They offer additional lore to the story. They were in Halo CE anniversary edition too, but you had to play in the newer graphics to see and interact with them. Also, i didnt see you or hear you say anything about the duel wielding. A smg and plasma rifle is a good combo for elites. Plasma rifle removes shields quickly while the smg will do the damage after the shield is gone. You cant exchange guns with your allies if your gun has no ammo or you already have the same gun you are trying to trade with them for.
I enjoyed watching you play Halo Combat Evolved. Surprised you didn't flip back & forth between the new Graphics to compare considering you played the first game with the old graphics. Remember to make use of the new dual wielding mechanic, you can dual wield guns in Halo 2 & 3.

Let's get back to the random Halo facts about my favorite title in the whole franchise. 1. The elite on trial is Fleet Master Thel ’Vadame. And he was responsible for attacking the Piller of Autum in Halo CE. Master Chief personally kick him into a life pod and away from the ship. 2. The canonical reason there isn't a health system in Halo 2 is because the armor has automatic medical injectors. So unlike CE, the armor administers medication automatically. 3. The original cover art for Halo 2 was retroactively turned into a propaganda piece. Retroactively featuring a dead marine, the Covenant's invasion, and the Chief being dirtier and even a little bloody. The propaganda piece is the cover art, which features none of this. A bid to make the Master Chief a hero to humanity. 4. After the events of CE. Chief and Cortana docked with a pelican dropship, Chief pulled Johnson into the longsword and was momentarily pondering shooting him, due to his presence when the Flood attacked, but since he hadn't turned yet Chief figured he was clean. 5. The armor Chief is currently rocking was tested in Songnam North Korea. The test was a retired Spartan-II-One of Chief's situational siblings-named Maria, who has at least two children. And is quoted by saying: "When John gets ahold of this armor, we'll all sleep a little better." First episode bonus facts. 1. It is estimated that every country has a defense platform. Ciaro Egypt. Athens Greece. 2. There is about a month between Halo CE and Halo 2. In which Survivors of both the Halo even and Reach joined together and destroyed a Covenant fleet. When Lord Hood says the fleet that destroyed Reach was larger then the one attacking Earth, it was supposed to be, if it wasn't for a ragtag group of heroes. But the impromptu mission had even more casualties. 3. The term "Demon" is reletive to all Spartans. Due to the Covenant's religious fervor, and the myth that Spartans never die. This was to give the illusion that Humanity's best warriors were unkillable. Unfortunately, this only went as far as listing dead Spartans as Missing in Action or Wounded in action. But to the Covenant, this made them unkillable demons. The Master Chief himself earned the monicker: The Demon. Due to him destroying the Halo ring in CE.

To let you know Juliette. Bungie tone down some of the weapons in this game compared to the last game. For example, that pistol is now fixed. It’s no longer a god to take down every enemy. The Plasma pistol does lower damage and it is only useful for overload take down shields on Elites. 😮. But gracefully, the grenades are tone down to where they will not cause a chain reaction a lot when explosions occur. Yeah, those are some changes that they made between the 3 year span of halo 1 and 2. 😊❤️

The terminal you encountered was one of many that you can find. There's one in each level of Halo 2 and each one sheds new light on the lore of the Halo universe.
Thel Vadam, the golden elite in the first cutscene and mentioned in the terminal, was the Fleetmaster (admiral) who led the Fleet of Particular Justice in pursuit of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn as it fled the human colony world Reach and eventually its arrival on the Halo ring from Halo CE. (would recommend a playthrough of Halo Reach if you love Halo)
What he went through was essentially a shaming ceremony where he was stripped of rank and branded with the Mark of Shame for his failure to stop the destruction of Halo ring
The Spartans that encountered Vadam in The Rubble were the members of Spartan Grey team, a team of Spartan IIs (like the Chief). They were primarily used during the Human-Covenant War as a covert ops team, sent behind enemy lines on missions to sabotage Covenant military assets and eliminate high ranking HVTs. You can read more about that particular incident in the novel The Cole Protocol by Tobias S. Buckell

34:11 most player didn't noticed this but you legit on top of the loading system for the mac gun that it was visible from the elevator door once it opened when you arrive, but due in space there is no sound you couldn't hear it and look at it, thats why its going up and down constantly xD

Others probably mentioned these things already, but.....
At times, when you were low on ammo and wanted a new weapon or reloads, you ran by weapons lockers embedded in the wall. Also, at at least a couple points, you ran by pistols sitting there (though they were weakened in power for Halo 2 so you may not care to use them). Smaller weapons can be dual-wielded.
Yes, you can take allies' weapons. Also, for multi-seat vehicles, if you sit in the passenger or gunner spot, someone else will drive. If an ally is sitting in a seat you want, just click to sit, they'll get out, and take another spot. I got into a warthog once, my rifleman say in the passenger, and a rocket launcher guy took the gun. I got the rocket guy out, then the rifleman, and sat in the driver. The rocket switched to passenger and rifle to gun, so I had max firepower. Also, NPC'd NEVER run out of ammo so that soldier was launching rockets all day.
If you come across marines just standing there, often they're out of range of the fight. It's a bit difficult, but, if you have the time and patience, you just nudge them from behind closer and closer to the Covenant. Once they're close enough or take a hit they'll move to engage and get in the fight.

These “lost” versions are the best restored versions of the halo games that fans have managed to price together with the previous removed content included. So if you felt one part of a story felt off or wanted to use more more weapons, the lost versions might be some content your subscribers.

Almost forgot, you can duel wield in this game. And you can duel wield most weapons. For example, you can duel wield a plasma rifle and a smg, pistol and a plasma pistol, and many more. You can do it with human and covenant weapons. 😄❤️

12:36 the battle rifle in halo two alongside the covenant carabine its the best weapons to have in all difficulties, but there is also the dual wielding wich opens up a bit of varieaty, of course this only limited to one handed weapons like the smgs or most covenant weapons
Once you reach Gravemind play it in classic. The ending song for the level is a banger. Reason being is they didn't get the rights for anniversary which I still hope they change.

Just subscribed! Love seeing folks discover Halo for the first time. May have missed your explanation of what order you'll play the rest of the series but I always suggest playing ODST after Halo 2 and before Halo 3. It takes place during the second half of Halo 2 and gives a different perspective on the human forces.
Love how Halo 2 expanded Halo's lore by giving a first person perspective of the Coveant. Thel 'Vadamee is honestly one of the best characters in the series and I can't wait to see you discover his story.

Halo 3 was released first in 2007 while ODST came out in 2009 as a quasi-expansion/prequel to 3. Like I said though, ODST is chronologically before 3 and is kind of a bridge between 2 and 3.
Whatever order you play though is up to you, I just look forward to seeing your thoughts on both games. Halo and Mass Effect are two series I grew up with and I always enjoy seeing new players check them out 😃

40:30 you might missed that during your way to the bomb, cortana reported that the lead covenant ship ignored your station and went past the debris of one of the mac cannon stations straight to earth, thats why you are now on your way to earth
28:00 advice of this mechanic, allys have infinite ammo, even if the gun you give to them has one bullet left, so, try to give your allys the best weapons posible or change weapons with them if you about to run out of ammo, allys with sniper rifles are lethal but be carefull of giving them rocket launchers, it can backfire in close quarters if you on the way, also you can't change the same type of weapon with a ally if you both have the same one
They even have comments if you have them good weapons or ones they consider bad, for example, with johnson if you take his sniper rifle they will be a bit upset xD but if you give him a good weapon he would be cheerfull of killing pontencial
Every missions has a pink incoming message. They offer additional lore to the story. They were in Halo CE anniversary edition too, but you had to play in the newer graphics to see and interact with them.
Also, i didnt see you or hear you say anything about the duel wielding. A smg and plasma rifle is a good combo for elites. Plasma rifle removes shields quickly while the smg will do the damage after the shield is gone.
You cant exchange guns with your allies if your gun has no ammo or you already have the same gun you are trying to trade with them for.
Ah yes, the duel wielding is pretty darn awesome! I don't know if I picked up two guns in this episode but I definitely do at some point!
I enjoyed watching you play Halo Combat Evolved. Surprised you didn't flip back & forth between the new Graphics to compare considering you played the first game with the old graphics. Remember to make use of the new dual wielding mechanic, you can dual wield guns in Halo 2 & 3.

Hello once again. Hope you remember me. The Halo facts guy. Wish I could help you other games, but Halo is my niche. Let's get back to the random Halo facts about my favorite title in the whole franchise.
1. The elite on trial is Fleet Master Thel ’Vadame.
And he was responsible for attacking the Piller of Autum in Halo CE. Master Chief personally kick him into a life pod and away from the ship.
2. The canonical reason there isn't a health system in Halo 2 is because the armor has automatic medical injectors. So unlike CE, the armor administers medication automatically.
3. The original cover art for Halo 2 was retroactively turned into a propaganda piece. Retroactively featuring a dead marine, the Covenant's invasion, and the Chief being dirtier and even a little bloody. The propaganda piece is the cover art, which features none of this. A bid to make the Master Chief a hero to humanity.
4. After the events of CE. Chief and Cortana docked with a pelican dropship, Chief pulled Johnson into the longsword and was momentarily pondering shooting him, due to his presence when the Flood attacked, but since he hadn't turned yet Chief figured he was clean.
5. The armor Chief is currently rocking was tested in Songnam North Korea. The test was a retired Spartan-II-One of Chief's situational siblings-named Maria, who has at least two children. And is quoted by saying: "When John gets ahold of this armor, we'll all sleep a little better."
First episode bonus facts.
1. It is estimated that every country has a defense platform. Ciaro Egypt. Athens Greece.
2. There is about a month between Halo CE and Halo 2. In which Survivors of both the Halo even and Reach joined together and destroyed a Covenant fleet. When Lord Hood says the fleet that destroyed Reach was larger then the one attacking Earth, it was supposed to be, if it wasn't for a ragtag group of heroes. But the impromptu mission had even more casualties.
3. The term "Demon" is reletive to all Spartans. Due to the Covenant's religious fervor, and the myth that Spartans never die. This was to give the illusion that Humanity's best warriors were unkillable. Unfortunately, this only went as far as listing dead Spartans as Missing in Action or Wounded in action. But to the Covenant, this made them unkillable demons. The Master Chief himself earned the monicker: The Demon. Due to him destroying the Halo ring in CE.

To let you know Juliette. Bungie tone down some of the weapons in this game compared to the last game. For example, that pistol is now fixed. It’s no longer a god to take down every enemy. The Plasma pistol does lower damage and it is only useful for overload take down shields on Elites. 😮. But gracefully, the grenades are tone down to where they will not cause a chain reaction a lot when explosions occur. Yeah, those are some changes that they made between the 3 year span of halo 1 and 2. 😊❤️
