As a kid from a broken home who’s dad was never around, the second audition was emotional as hell. Being able to bring both parents together in support and how much passion and emotion that kid put out was incredible. Fantastic
James Arthur. You young man made me, 67, getting tears in my eyes. So sensitive, so full of emotion. Just more than an excellent performance. Congratulations. With love from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿.
I love to hear instruments made to sing..to see an instrument played in a confident manner that fills you with joy & amazing wonder..I not really a heavy metal music type but you guys ROCKED IT❤❤❤❤
The shock and surprise from everyone about the first contestants outrages me. Why do we assume that because he's a senior he can't shred a guitar. Hello people! Brian May, Mick Mars,Lindsay Buckingham and so many of our great guitarists are seniors and still killing it!
You got it all wrong. Nobody assumed that bec he was senior, he couldn't shred a guitar. The shock and surprise came bec 1. He looked like a regular grampy, not your regular heavy metal rocker. 2. The talent per se. 3. That performance came once in a blue moon. I know some advance in years rockers like Jimmy Page, B. May, P. Frampton, C. Santana, E. Clapton, M. Knopfler, etc. so I shouldn't be surprised, but this guy surprised me.
The first two, the older gent, terrific and the young man singing with acoustic, BOTH great, the young man James was wonderful, the feeling he put out,, WOW !!!!! The older man, "Gilmore-Halen" 😊
I liked the 3rd dude's arpeggio sweep's... impeccable diminishes... I hope he wins...his playing kind of reminds me of Jason Becker when he used to practice! 🎸👈😉👍
you know what boggles my mind? If this guy was lome 45 years old they would look at him like ok. so what? Is that all you've got? Boring . But go back 20 years and it's like Wow man! you're amazing!!!! unbelievable. Like old people were born old. 🙄
If this guy was young nobody would bat an eye but because he’s old we’re suppose to so shocked! What do these judges think happen to people as they age that they forgot everything they’ve learned or only want to play classical! He was cool when he was young so he’s still cool now!
Arthritis usually hits the fingers first. And also he doesn't look like he listens to rock in his Mr Rogers sweater and people appreciate the unexpected and that is what is impressive hon
Eddie did NOT create tapping. Stop giving the guy credit for things he didn’t do. Eddie probably got the idea from an Italian guitarist who made tapping popular in the 60s.
These old shredder guys are available to see in sports-bars around the country on any given Friday or Saturday night, this guy just stands out because he’s dressed like a retired architect. But yeah, go dude.
Can't stand the way they edit these shows. Barely get to see the guys talent because they're too busy showing B-list celebrities acting like B-list celebrities.
It’s unfortunate that ppl believe that us elderly men and women have nothing to give to the world. I know so many men and women in their 60’s and 70’s that have so much talent in different areas that most younger ppl couldn’t even compare. Like one person said he isn’t playing guitar, he loves playing guitar. Anyone at any age who enjoys what they do will more likely than not be very good at their hobby or job.
I'm amused that everyone's so shocked. Not that he isn't amazing, he is, but people seem so shocked by his age. Rock has now been around for nearly 70 years, any of the rock greats that are still alive are getting up there in age. Kerry Livgren, for example, is 74. (writer of Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas)

And he still sings with so much emotion today. James Arthur.

He actually got really big over here after BGT
O-M-G.....The elder English gentleman KILLED IT....BOOM 👏
The first guy...some of us older folks...we might fool ya
1:11 Dimebomb 🤘😤🤘
Yeah bro
An old man with a guitar case should not be taken lightly
He just looked so happy in the one little bit
Think the brunette on the left seat got a little slippery when the second guy started singing
Oh my God. An old guy, probably around the age of Van Halen or of the generation that made metal popular, is really good at playing guitar.
Lol right
Pardon?
A old guy? Age is just a number.
😢🎉😢😢🎉😂😢😢😂😢🎉😂😢😂😢🎉😢🎉😂😂😂😂😂😢😢😢🎉😂😂😂😂😂😢xz
Why you thought only young fellows can play the guitar? 😂😂
Has anyone else noticed that since Simon became a father, he seems more happier or is this just me? ❤
Or Just otox
He was cloned
Melissa Allen Absolutely....he is much more in touch with his emotions also. Fatherhood definitely agrees with him!
Yes.
Also his mother passing he has become more thoughtful of people's feelings
And that just goes to show you, age is nothing but a NUMBER!!! 💪🏾❤️
I'd make a joke about a certain group of people preying on children with that line, but unlike some people I have decency, so I won't.
And I agree with you Lauraine! ♡
@@koolgamerryes8122but you thought about making that joke
The producers of this show deserve ever penny and then some.
I’ve bet this legend man has been playing since he was a child. Respect
Everybody was young once and the Music was too!
Loved Jame's Arthur! Hope he goes far with that voice! ❤
He’s a platinum selling artist now 😊
@@SigStates oh my goodness, thats awesome to hear! Thankyou! ❤
His song "Say You Won't Let Go" got 1.6B views. His audition is close to 10 years old, I think
I love to hear instruments made to sing..to see an instrument played in a confident manner that fills you with joy & amazing wonder..I not really a heavy metal music type but you guys ROCKED IT❤❤❤❤
Ppppppppp0❤😅
You guys?!! There was only one person playing 😂
@@NovaPrime5012 there were multiple auditions...
What a cool dude. Wish i could play like that.

Mr Spankey and the Hip Thrusters 😊. I've see Kenny many times and this guy is up there with the best of the best and yes he's brilliant!!!!!
I liked the 3rd dude's arpeggio sweep's... impeccable diminishes... I hope he wins...his playing kind of reminds me of Jason Becker when he used to practice!

Man would be a monster 30 years ago. Swear some of us were born in the wrong generation he would have the crowd PUMPING back in the day
He didn't start out in life that age talent never should die
Wow that last guitarist blew me off my chair. 🎉
On 2nd one and u have built my expectations
AMAZING! JUST AMAZING!!!!❤
We never get old . That’s up the way you are , and how you feel 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Actually, you do. "up the way you are". wtf does that even mean? 🤣🤣🤣
Man o man, he has blown me away. What an incredible talent.

He's amazing!!! 🎸 ❤❤❤
When a grandpa in a Mr. Roger's sweater pulls out a guitar. Lmao
And that's how you make a guitar cry. Absolutely amazing

He wears a cardigan
You know a performance is good when it melts one of the judges' faces and freezes the other...
Playing drums behind the first and third guy as they shred guitar solos would be absolutely amazing
The first guitarist was the best!
Those older UK gentlemen really know their instruments man, I need one of THEM to teach me!
How he catches he riff what a player yknow
This where James Arthur started!!?? His songs are so good!!
Banging my head at the first one, talented guy
Amazing he still keeps up his shredding on his guitar
Kenny and John are amazing guitarists, I loved Simon's reaction to Kenny's playing. Pretty sure Sofia had to help him put his face back on 😂
James Arthur version of her song is better than the original song itself!! Well done 👏🏼 love his music .
Great player.
I’ve been playing guitar for 35 years, and this guy is better than everyone I’ve ever jammed with.🎸🎶🎵🎸💙✌️🤙🎸
I guess you play with lame people
The first guy learned his tapping skills from the late, great Eddie Van Halen.
Who learned it from a guy in the 1930's
@j johnson there was no electric guitars in the 1930s jackball. Kinda required for that technique.
Eddie did NOT create tapping. Stop giving the guy credit for things he didn’t do. Eddie probably got the idea from an Italian guitarist who made tapping popular in the 60s.
It is possible to tap on an acoustic
@@ActualArcheryes but u can’t really hear it but yes
Первый мужчина - огонь! Молодец!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GUY...

Whats the name of song the first gentleman played after walk this way??? 🙏
Born to be wild by Steppenwolf

Rick Stein smashed it
