I've been a switch gamer for years and tomorrow my steamdeck is supposed to arrive! I feel like it couldn't have shown up at a better time to jump into coral island!

Harvestella! I loved that game sooo much! To be honest, I feel like the farming in that game was such a SMALL portion lol like i feel like i was only doing that so i could make food and drinks to survive all the battles. I loved the story, music and multiple ends you could get in the game and the slight romance options at the end
Farming sims are not my jam. I only play a couple of games with farming in them. But everytime you post a new video, I gotta watch. You're entertaining, funny, and I find you voice to be so calming. Cheers!
I recommend Ooblets to Everyone! It’s my favorite. I love how rude the characters are! They crack me up. And the music gets stuck in my head. I find myself humming it while I do dishes 😂
I've put 155 hours into Wylde flowers. Once the new update Drydock plans on releasing is out that number will easily go past 200. If you really want a farming sim, I can't recommend Wylde Flowers enough.

Fae farm was such a disappointment for me . I do love the aesthetics but I’m a sucker for stories, festivals etc .. and it just didn’t have any .. such a shame
Yeah tbh I was chocked it was even on this list 😅 I'm gonna be really honest (like anybody cared if I wasn't HAHA 😂) but I was EXTREMELY disappointed by fae farm, I LOVED it at the beginning but I soon, very soon, realized it was SOOO empty, you got no purpose at all with anything really, barely anything to do really, and it became boring soooo fast... and most of all, I can't BELIVE that game is as EXPENSIVE as GODDAMN breath of the wild 😅 if you are thinking about buying fae farm, just dont haha 😭 atleast not if it isn't on a HUGE sale or free haha 😂
Absolutely adored Ooblets!! I still return now and again for events and the gleamy collecting of it all, but the story took me by complete surprise and has made me constantly recommend it to others! 🍄💜
I've been playing Wylde Flowers for ages! The only down side is the time table. The day goes too quickly and the freezing time spell is only on your current location.
Did you know you can change the day speed in the settings? There are three day speeds and you can change them at any time. I usually play on Relaxing, then switch to Normal or Challenging when I'm waiting to go to a coven meeting.
Right when I need it! I'm still waiting for Coral Island on the switch and currently I adore Moonstone Island 😍 Thanks to you I started playing Harvestella a while ago and I loved it! I don't think I would have started it without your previous videos and I just love it so much! Fae Farm was quite cute for me, but the characters were just lacking a lot, which is why I just kinda stopped playing it sadly... might pick it up again some time, but not right now And I'll definitely take a look at my time at sandrock!!

Definitely gonna check out Harvestella! Coral Island leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I backed the kickstarter and am STILL waiting for the Switch version 3+ years later. They ignore all of us asking for updates, won't let us change keys... I wanted to play it at one point, but now I've just seen shady crap from the game devs and have no desire to play it.

I don't know if you can call "research story" a farming game but I've switched to it go give myself a break from stardew. In it the "farming" also has a purpose, 'cause you have to research plants - and to achieve it also farm one yourself etc. Creatures and fishing work similarly. It's a cute pixel game but the NPC art and research materials are beautiful. Still in early access though.
Honestly, I feel Sandrock for the Switch is one of the unsung glow ups of the system. How it is now verses how it was on release...the difference is night and day 😹.

I enjoyed Potion Permit a lot but I am actually not sure if it counts as a farming sim 😅 besides that one wylde flower I finally bought it after your recommendation and I liked it too😊 And both I could actually finish cuz it kept me hooked 😮

Stardew Valley is the og best for me ofc. But I really fell in love with My Time at Sandrock, it's so good, fun and challenging in a fun way. So many great details and lots to do. And I really love the graphics. Its beautiful. But tbh I like all the games you listed here haha.

I really loved the idea and look of Harvestella and decided to play the demo on the switch and got sooo frustrated with the horribly loading screens and the travel map thingy was so disappointing because I had to return home so often. Is this a bit better in the full version and/or on a different platform? Because I would love to give it a go again if it’s not stopping your flow at every given moment 😅
The demo just has a day length issue. I remember playing the demo and not being into the farming sim part of it (farming games in general, not just this one) and feeling like I never really had enough time or could go into the dungeon area I wanted to. These things are better in the full game. There's also something you can craft/cook that just teleports you home. That was in the demo and I used it since walking home took so long in the very short days. I have yet to give the game an extensive try but my best friend told me she really enjoyed it and I trust her on this one.
I've been waiting Sun Haven to come to the switch for so long! I'm also waiting Core Keeper to be released on consoles on August 27th! I wanted to buy it for switch at first but knowing i want to play with my friend I'll probably get it for PlayStation instead. Only because multiplayer is not that good on the switch, especially through voice chat.
i wouldn't hold ur breath on sun haven. us pc players have been BEGGING them to fix their controller support and they've taken to pushing out tons of paid DLC (cosmetic) packs instead and pretty much ignoring our input, advice and requests. it's almost like they've half given up on their game which is sad bc it has so much potential if they'd nurture it.
@@batty-bites3185 not entirely. with the last update I did notice some improvements on the Steam Deck play. They were not big enough though. I want to add that the Switch battery will not be able to sustain much Sun Haven gameplay like this. The Steam Deck gets like 2.5 hours on a fully charged battery, which is probably around 5 days tops if you lengthen the days (which I recommend because on the 20 min cycle you don't really have enough time to do the stuff you wanna do or progress the story).

I’m probably the odd ball out here but I did not like Coral Island at all. It’s Stardew Valley in 3D that’s about it. I was really excited to play it since I loved SDV so much but just found myself disappointed and not interested

Can somebody explain why Coral Island is always said to be similar to Stardew? Apart from the evil corporation story I don't see any similarity exclusive to Stardew which is not part of the genre in general. What am I missing? 🤔 Great list btw. I'm always on the fence on buying Ooblets, every time it's on sale I'm soooo close to spend money on it and then I buy something else xD Maybe I should just go for it next time lol (Edit: spelling)
When I first came out in early access it was missing a lot of the extra content it has now, meaning that it was essentially just a standard farming sim loop with not much else. The festivals didn’t have mini games, no mermaids or any of that stuff. Over time it’s definitely done more to stand out though
Okay I realized that not every game is on switch yet.. Buttt that being said I’d love to see a video of your setup, how you built your PC.. I’ve been on the fence on building a PC, or buying a prebuilt one.
i've heard from reviews that ooblets is buggy and lacking in content (especially for the wait period that it took for them to dev their game and then go back on their word of releasing to steam upon release. i refuse to touch the game bc there was controversy over the devs that might have possible been proven false at this point? but either way i am pretty sure they did in fact go back on saying they weren't turning away from an initial release to steam so i'm inclined to not believe them being genuine based on that alone)
Ooblets is a great game but I would watch some gameplay footage if I were you, because it does have a very specific art style. I hated the look of Wylde Flowers and ended up buying & enjoying it anyway, but it was hard to get past the art style for a long time.

Well I got a lot of hours out of Fae Farm and personally loved it, much more than Animal Crossing which many people seem to love but I found really boring. So it's really an individual thing when it comes to value for money and what someone is willing to pay or thinks is a reasonable price.

If you like the game power wash i think you will like house flipper it gives similar satisfying feel

@Eeowna a game I love to play that think is cosy others might not is knack its so much fun to play its on playstation but don't know if it's on steam or pc and kameo elements of power is also a good game very cute baby creatures but it's only on xbox wish they did a remake or sequel it was so good

I actually didn't like Stardew Valley. But Ooblets is one of my all time favorite games.

Can somebody explain why Coral Island is always said to be similar to Stardew? Apart from the evil corporation story I don't see any similarity exclusive to Stardew which is not part of the genre in general. What am I missing? 🤔
Great list btw. I'm always on the fence on buying Ooblets, every time it's on sale I'm soooo close to spend money on it and then I buy something else xD Maybe I should just go for it next time lol

When I first came out in early access it was missing a lot of the extra content it has now, meaning that it was essentially just a standard farming sim loop with not much else. The festivals didn’t have mini games, no mermaids or any of that stuff. Over time it’s definitely done more to stand out though

Okay I realized that not every game is on switch yet.. Buttt that being said I’d love to see a video of your setup, how you built your PC.. I’ve been on the fence on building a PC, or buying a prebuilt one.
All of the games will be on switch, coral island and sun haven are the ones that aren’t there yet

Is ooblets worth it if I payed for faefarm and haven't touched it since because I didn't like the art style?
i've heard from reviews that ooblets is buggy and lacking in content (especially for the wait period that it took for them to dev their game and then go back on their word of releasing to steam upon release. i refuse to touch the game bc there was controversy over the devs that might have possible been proven false at this point? but either way i am pretty sure they did in fact go back on saying they weren't turning away from an initial release to steam so i'm inclined to not believe them being genuine based on that alone)
Ooblets is a great game but I would watch some gameplay footage if I were you, because it does have a very specific art style. I hated the look of Wylde Flowers and ended up buying & enjoying it anyway, but it was hard to get past the art style for a long time.

I really want to try playing Ooblets. I just really can't get behind supportive the developers. They are not very nice people unfortunately.
Must say I was CHOCKED that FAE FARM was even on this list haha 😅 its such a scam of a game with the prize 😭 I was EXTREMELY disappointed by it...
I LOVED it at the beginning but I soon, very soon, realized it was SOOO empty, you got no real purpose at all with anything really, barely anything to do and the whole game feels ridiculously empty, and it became boring soooo fast...
and most of all, I can't BELIVE that game is as EXPENSIVE as GODDAMN breath of the wild 😅 if you are thinking about buying fae farm, just dont haha 😭 atleast not if it isn't on a HUGE sale or free haha 😂
Well I got a lot of hours out of Fae Farm and personally loved it, much more than Animal Crossing which many people seem to love but I found really boring. So it's really an individual thing when it comes to value for money and what someone is willing to pay or thinks is a reasonable price.
