  • Eating is a big part of life, especially as a thru-hiker! I hope this video is helpful to those thinking about the trail. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Not sure if you're still checking up on these, but I had a question! How often did you rely on getting food sent to you vs. resupplying in towns?

Hi there! It’s definitely a personal choice. I’d say that I would resupply in town every other time and the others would be boxes. That was just me though. I would often times decide to bounce my food box ahead to the next town as well

Hi Bria, I am also Vegan, not because of cruelty to animals, but because of health. Vegans and even vegetarians live longer etc. But I have held back because of the trail diet. I can remember your initial video on various vegan things to eat on the trail; But practically nothing that was presented seemed vary appetizing to me. I eat a lot of raw things like really big salads, like what Chris Wark did and his stage three cancer disappeared. But that would be impossible on the trail, nor would it probably provide me with enough nutrition for a long hike. I think it can be done on a vegetarian diet but I thinking of Mad Cow disease etc.
I'm happy that you were able to do what you did. Congratulations!
